Yes but he is also a good wicket keeper..Dont expect him to bat very very good..i am not taking favour of him..and again luck depends on us then it's ok! It's true that he does partiality with players and that's what is dangerous to our team cricket..

New Delhi: Finland's mobile handset maker Nokia has emerged as the most trusted brand in India ahead of homegrown Tata, while master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has been ranked ahead of Mahatma Gandhi by a survey.

Surprisingly, Bollywood's legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan's name does not figure in the top 300 list.

Sachin?

To all Sachin lovers, just think you guys praise only sachin if India wins. If India looses the match then you all say cricket is team game and Sachin alone can't win the match.

If Cricket is team game then why don't you all support Srinath (best fast bowler), Robin Singh (best all rounder), Ganguly & Dravid (class players).

You guys are not supporting Sachin just inviting trouble against his good image.

Just my humble views.

Very good points. Too much hero worship going on. I believe the whole anti sachin gang sprung up because of this " can only see sachin " mode of fans. Hope Dhonis fans dont go the same way.

i agree with you completely LetzDiscuss. Thats why i started to post and that too picking on sachin and pointing out all his faults and shortcomings and pointing out all his failures continuously. it was my protest against sachin being credited all india's wins ''single-handedly'' and being called 'one-man-army' and trashing all other indian players. whenever anyone criticises sachin or points out his weaknesses and where other players score over him these sachin fanatics call them losers, morons, porki, having no knowledge about cricket, having no respect for parents, being unemployed, having bad childhood, getting no love from parents, having no talents, being useless, having lot of spare time, fit for mental asylum and what not.

It was only because of sachin being credited all the time for everything and other players being abused badly that i started to point out where they were wrong and that they should appreciate other players contributions also. but they did not like it and started abusing me so i too started to point out sachin's each and every failure and downplaying/ignoring his performances. i retaliated against them by playing their own game against them using their own logic, and their own language. of course they did not like it. it was because of nonsense posts of chiefly LG, senthil, sameer, against pseudos, ashishkumar, arvin g, mumbai chhokra, dire straits, sunilk, etc. that i started to speak in favour of all the abused players and against sachi

these fanatics think that anyone who writes against sachin hates him. that is not true at all. i dont hate sachin at all but i do hate the monster that they have created out of sachin and hate these sachin fanatics who dont appreciate others and only praise sachin even for things for which he does not deserve praise or credit. they dont realise that even sachin does not agree with most of their views and regards them as crazy fans whom he is not proud of just like steffi graf regards her fan who stabbed monica seles. just like that fan who used knife to injure seles these fanatics use their words to abuse and stab other players.

these fanatics have long-term memory loss of all the other players performances and memory like an elephant for all their failures. so just like them i too point out all sachin's failures and all other players performances.

if these fanatics just understand, accept and admit that sachin is no god but just another human being having his good points and bad points, good qualities and virtues as wells as weaknesses and shortcomings, the world will be a better place to live in.

if these fanatics would just start appreciating others performances also and stop giving sachin undue credit, they will find that the anti sachin posts and jokes will get reduced automatically.

Yes, in 1970s and 80s, whenever GR Viswanath had scored century, (13 in all), India had either won or drawn those tests So, praise Sachin but praise others also, whoever hav contributed for India's success, but do not be undue bashers of other players

Whatever we say, Sachin is one of the best players we had. It is not just the records and other data to analyze. Look at the way he is still learning and playing as a team player. I see he never used a runner except for one occassion. Never showed dissent to players or Umpires. Down to earth to an extent that he ran for other players when they were injured. He is first appreciate the others efforts. He also showed his maturity when he left from Captaincy two times, and retired from T20. He is an exemplary player in many aspects. Having said this, I wont he is the only best. We had Kumble, Dravid and Laxman who also played very well as well as behaved well. I also dont believe the concept of winning singlehanded. If sachin scores a hundred, he still needed one other batsman to run these 100 for him. So it is impossible for any one to perform without being part of the team. Sachin and other such players know more than all of us.

explorer, When LetzDiscuss says To all sachin lovers, he does not literally mean every one of them. he is not referring to those discerning and impartial sachin lovers who also understand and appreciate others performances, that it is the team who wins matches and not the individual. What he means is only those sachin lovers who are blind and fanatic enough to credit sachin 100% for all indian wins in terms of contribution as well as credit. and regarding all others as totally useless and crap. he only is saying to all those who say that sachin wins matches for india ''single-handedly'' and ''without any contribution from other 10 players.''

Who said the above names are not supported? In addition we also support Kumble, Sehwag, Yuvraj and many more. All players playing at international level are respected and admired as they all achieved something on the field.
we sit in front of the system and say a lot about what Sachin or others should or should not do. Instead people like me prefer to enjoy the game of every one.

Even in Sachin's own words, he has started playing freely, after the arrival of Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman and of course, Viru, to a great extent. so there is no question of hero worship emerging. Play the game in the true spirit, Chakde India, Jai Ho, Let all of our players, win the World Cup and that will be affitting fianle for Sachin's career

This is absolutely the best Indian team ever. Without any contribution from Dhoni and his two non performing Chennai buddies, the remaining 8 man team is easily beating a full strenghth South African team.

Agree Raina needs to play only sometimes. It is mechanical and beocoming boring to see Raina fail consistently in tests and odi, except in an occasional dead pitch at home.

For the benefit of Sachin Haters
by Ramelton Pandya on Jan 19, 2011 08:20 PM  | Hide replies

New Delhi, Jan 18 (PTI): Sachin Tendulkar is by far the best batsman of his era, according to West Indies' batting legend Brian Lara who said it was an "honour" to rub shoulders with the champion Indian batsman during his playing days.
"Tendulkar is the best batsman of the world," Lara said on the sidelines of a cricket clinic at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Tuesday.
Asked if it was Tendulkar or Don Bradman, Lara added, "Respect his average (of 99.96) but haven't seen the Don batting. And making comparison is very difficult for all of us."
"It's an honour to be talked about in the same breath, and to have rubbed shoulders with him during my playing days. There is no superlative for Sachin," Lara said.

OK man, as he was Mgrath's 300th victim, I still remember,
sachin being bowled all ends up, by Mohammed Asif, in Pak in 2005 But in the pinaccle of his career, he is really having a purple patch, which is good for India only As Lara for Windies, we hv our own Sachin All are good in their own selves

Dhoni's performance

His batting performance is absolutely not acceptable. He's being there only because he's a captain. Lucks favours him. If he starts losing the same, then his career will be a question mark.

I was a cricket fan in the 90s and all we got was disappointment from a team that looked invincible on paper. Most of it was due to poor strategy and captaincy. If the guy can win with his smarts instead of his bat so be it. Winning is all that matters.

arun kumar what is your achivement in life ?

sitting outside & make comments ?

comment like a matured man, captains role in the game is most crucial. There were big names in indian team earlier but due to poor captancy india always use to get beeting.

better understand this.
