It is evident from the 1st ODI that India is not able to bat even 36 overs. The need of the hour is to recall either V V S Laxman or Dravid so that we can at-least have a team which can bat the whole 50 overs, even if we can not win the match. If Laxman / Dravid is there in the crease the other batsmen can look for runs.
Hence the selectors, please reconsider this idea before it is too late.

include dinesh karthik ravi jadeja unadkad murali vijay irfan pathan piyush chawla pujara instead of sehwag harbhajan tendulkar zaheer khan Raina gambhir parvin kumar
since last IPL, he is out of form, i dont know why he is been selected for the INDIAN team instead of him Saurabh tiwari and lots of young players who can perform well.....

He's a good player but terribly out of form. But he's been picked here since there is no other opener in the squad...unless Rohit is asked to don the responsibility.

PLZ CHECK UR STATS B4 COMMENTING. HIS DOMESTIC ODI AVG IS BELOW 30. IN 15 ODD INTERNATIONAL MATCHES, HE HAS FAILED TO REACH 50 EVEN ONCE. VIJAY IS JUST THERE A PUPPET OF SHRIKANT SO THAT YOUNGSTERS LIKE S.TIWARY CANT GET IN TEAM. MURLI VIJAY HAS FAILED BIG TIME- A SECOND D.KARTIK- AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES BCOZ OF SOUTH CONNECTION BUT NO RESULT.
so this means out of the 1billion people in india there is nobody who can bowl at 150k and sustain good pace and still cant find a place in this team?? If so stop playing or sending this team or atleast stop naming it as INDIAN team....

Unfortunately..thats a truth... We donn have 100MPH.. But, its not all about 100 MPH, its more about the accuracy and control.I donn know how much accurate are Nehra,Ishant,Unadkat and all.These bowlers dont have the control on their bowling.I dont know why?? I am not sure other than Zaheer, any one of these people can bowl on a particular spot.They just run and throw the ball blindly,whether the field setting is in On or Off,they donn care..

u r dead right abhay.. there is no word 'experience' in our bowlers dictionary.. no matter if they play for 10 years, they will stil bowl like novices

@Sujatha: The reason is lack of "Money" in the system. Why do you think with the same 1 billion ppl we get very less medals in olympics etc. Thanks to IPL, BCCI is pumping crores into each state board. Now cricket is a serious profession in India with all the crores flying around. Its just a matter of time from now on, we utilize the reach of billion ppl.

When Kallis scored Double century he quoted "indian pace bowlers are like spinners to us..
as he knew from the starting that after sachin got out it was impossible to chase.. so dhoni tried to do the same he does everytime -bat till the end and remain notout whatsoever , so hs average could improve. but sadly for him that did not happen . poor dhoni. o yes india lost the match also.
