sachin, all these things are part of game, the one who overcomes and plays will be called champion.
the batsman while facing the ball should concentrate on the ball not on some history or future

Dhruv Kumar,

Read article carefully..

hello adult, when he himself is saying that his game was affected, why r u trying to save him.
performance gets affected if one cannot concentrate on the game and thinking about other issues, that is why i said, concentrate on the ball. difficult to explain to sachin fans, becoz they are as dumb as sachin

Why Sharjah tournaments had stopped??
by Bingo on Jan 11, 2011 11:56 AM

Cause every match is fixed in sharjah...Azaruddin ( Captain) always found gifted with precious gifts like diamond watches.
The two unbelievable matches won single handedly by sachin in Sharjah were also fixed...Anshuman Gaikwad coach of indian team inform this news to sachin and sachin played against fixers and india qualify for final and eventually won sharjah tournament...It is said that bookies lost large amount in those two matches....

Of course no one doubted the Indian team during the 99-00 Aus tour. That is exactly what I am saying. Most of us dont know what was going on the Indian dressing room in those days. His ability to captain a team may be open to debate but one can never blame him for lack of trying or brand him as selfish. Can anyone be sure that no one was undermining Sachin's ability to captain the Indian team while on tour?
I still remember the heroic innings that Sachin played during the Boxing Day test of 1999 against an attack which included Brett Lee (debutant), McGrath & Warne. Sachin single-handedly carried the team’s batting with zero help from anyone else (he was the highest scorer for India in both innings with 116 & 52. It was such a remarkable feat that he was awarded the Man-of-Match award by the Aussies themselves despite India hurtling to heavy defeat. He was also the highest scorer for India (followed by Laxman with that miraculous 167 in the Sydney test) for the whole series. Here is something to ponder: 2 (Azhar & Prabhakar) of the 3 Indians later accused of match-fixing did not get to go to Aus. Ever wonder why? And, when Azhar did make it back to the Indian team for the second test against SA, he scored a century in the second innings & promptly got out. When asked by a reporter why he did not stick around & go for a bigger innings, he shot back:I scored century! What more do you expec

@Shrikar

Then what is sachin complaining and whining about now if there was no doubt?

@against psudeos No need for sarcasm ,all we ask for is why is sachin coming up with this lie after 10 years?is he trying to blame something else for his flop show as captain?if so he needs to work better on the lie, this one is way off

Just tell us what does he mean by the spectators doubted the team of match fixing in 1999-2000 tour when the match fixing episode started 7 months after the AUS tour?did he time travel?

Matchfixing as a phenomenon was being whispered about many years before the proverbial s**t hit the fan in March 2000. All through the days of the meaningless ODIs for the Titan Cup, Hero Cup & all the cups in Sharjah the shadow of illegal betting and match fixing was omnipresent. There were suspicions about players from almost every international team. For someone like SRT, that never gave anything less than 100% this was unbearable. Imagine having to share a dressing room or play against a player about whom you had a nagging doubt that they were not being entirely honest when it came to the decisions they made on the field of play? It is only natural that he was distracted. And, why did India do so well after the lows of March 2000? It was because, the team went through the catharsis of seeing lifetime bans being handed out & investigations against the main accused being launched. Once, the cancer was removed, the team was able to focus on matters purely involving bat and ball and consequently thrived again. If folks cannot grasp this, they will continue to think Sachin is merely looking for excuses. And, that is a disrespectful to the Champion and his contributions to Indian Cricket.

and what were two mainstays of indian batting along with sachin doing in these 5 tests... conspiring by getting out cheaply so that tests are lost badly and they could be appointed captain/vice captain as reward...
bookies/bcci did not want sachin as captain coz he wont be part of match fixing ... 1-day series against sa was all fixed for ganguly including giving bowling to dravid as a master stroke to whom couple of sa players will get out to hail ganguly as great captain... wonder how come dravid never bowled except almost 20 overs in those 2 matches fixed for ganguly by kalemia dalmia and cronje...
even today dravid is the biggest fixer... bookies/bcci liasion in the team... thats why his name is hardly mentioned as the player to be dropped despite repeated failures...

I have been a great fan of Tendulkar, but why is he lying. The last thing I expect of this great man. The match fixing broke in 2000 after South Africa tour. Please google search. In 1999-2000 Australia series, everything was fine. After SA tour, Delhi police made some revelations and Azhar, Jadeja and few others were banned. Hansie then was banned in South Africa. Please Tendulkar, dont make false statement for public sympathy. Then after 2000 series of reality broke in.

:) Sachin wanted to oblige you and give you a chance to curse him enough; hence he purposely told a big lie on Media interviews so that you can be happy... ;-)

Else why would he forget the facts during the 1999-2000 time frame when YOU remember them clearly, as if you were more inside the Indian team's dressing room than HE was? :)
