Sad or Happy ending
by franklin b on Jan 08, 2011 12:16 AM

Ricky career is now almost over, so is Clarke. and also Australia.

The world will be happy to see Aussies go down - They played boring, cheating, unfair game of cricket.

It is sad to see honest men like Hussey, Bollinger and Cameron are part of aussie team.

Long live England. Long live India.

India is a shoe-in for the final spot. But I am not so sure about England because they will have to play in doctored pitches in Bangladesh. India will make pitches where we will see many 300 plus scores.

England lost all matches in india by 7-0
West Indies,Pakistan lost 5-0 against australia in 2010 becouse of failiure in all dept.
South africa lost opportunity in final (from world cup 1992 to 2007)So dont worry australia this time must end soonly.

This year ashes

england strong line up beat team australia weak line up under captaincy of sir ricky ponting and clarke. After retirement Gilcrist, martyn, mecgrath, warne, langer, heyden, symonds batting line up collapse and just 50 runs australia lost 2/3 wickets early. At one time team all out just only 98 runs.So 10 years a brilliant era come to end under ricky ponting and steve waugh captaincy.Under clarke captaincy after 2-3 years if all dept. improve by clarke then australian era in cricket must come.New talent like usman khwaja, smith, bollinger, halfenhaus, hauritz, siddle must do their best in near future. At last Sir ponting, clarke, heyden please see the swing bowling of bowlers like anderson, zaheer khan and improve batting otherwise you both take retirement from cricket.

Australia are mo more the swaggering dominant team that they were a decade or five years back

Gone is that invincible aura and the halo that they had. With the retirements of once in a time legends like Warnie, McGrath, Haydos, Gilly, etc, that invincibility cloak has come off.

In a way, India started the trend and showed that the mighty Aussie team can be beaten. They beat the Aussie team in their prime when the legends were there and this is what makes our India's feat great

gavaskar crying for no 1 status
by Bloggers on Jan 07, 2011 12:32 PM  | Hide replies

gavaskar article in times of india last week was nothing short of terrible. he was crying why aussies no1 status was not questioned?. bcox aus has won test matches against all countries in their own back yard. not like india playing in flat tracks and winning with blind indian umpires. aus has won 3 world cups in a row. can india do it? gavaskar knows only to cry and always had an envy against aus.
no doubt he is one of the best batsmen. but in terms of commentary he is the worst of the lot.
do not cry gavaskar. india can win only in flat tracks and with umpiring help.

Why India is lacking bcoz of this reasons. We know only to critize to our countrymen. Take the examples of other countries especially Aussies. It is very easy to point out other mistakes but it is very difficult to do the same. So we must stop doing such thing and let focus on improvement.

What about the South Africa series ?

And do not forget, India has beaten in a test series England both home (2008) and away (2007).

The last time England won a test series against India was in 1996. 14 years ago.

So be patient and be happy for current status. If you have worry for future then u will destroy your present.

in 2008 we would have def won 2-1 when steve buckmor became their member of the side... remember that time they had gilchrist, hayden and symonds in the team despite mcgrath and warne not being there
