In fact its not Kallis who took away game from India, it was Dhoni's ultra-defensive and unimaginative captaincy that let South Africa off the hook. By no means I want to deny credit to Kallis for his outstanding efforts but at the same time I don't understand why did Dhoni not go for the kill when South Africa was 5 down 98? Dhoni should introspect his attitude and leadership skills. Another big joke Harbhajan claiming he did not get support from other bowlers...LOL. Honestly, it is time for India to look for other spin options, I kind of find it hard to recall any efforts from Harbhajan of late outside sub-continent that resulted in India's victory. May be he now belongs to commentary box, he has shown enough talent for that position by being unappropriated spokes-person of Team India.

Indian Cricket fans are a joke. They never played any international test and comments like they know better than a player who played more than 50 test matches.

Make a Caption G Gambhir and select P.Patel as a wicket keeper cum batsman. It help Indian to win since India lost chance due to short of 50 / 60 runs due to failure MSD batting.

Before writing these stupid things please study the things properly. As per my knowledge nearly 75% of the runs are scored by the midle order or lower order batsman. By the way whom u blame as the SA were unable to make india all out on last day inspite of uneven bounce on detoriating pitch ? My son its all about skills, ability and above all Temparament is the Test cricket all about.

last match similar thing happened to SA. Zaheer and laxman put up 80 odd runs togather. thats what test cricket is. how about laxman bhajji against NZ. It happens and thats why real test of skills is test cricket.

No support from other bowlers. A good joke from Harbajan. What was he doing in the first innings when Sree took 5 wickets. Had he supported SA would have been out for some 260 scores. exemplifying oneself is not cricket. Under stand that.

Folks
Why focus on what he did not do . Leadership is key in winning these games and do not forget Dhoni is Captain-WK-Batsman all rolled into one. Under him entire dressing room atmosphere is fantastic in all the formats of game.
Yes , I agree that we have a great legendary team today in Laxman,Dravid, Zaheer etc but I give full marks to Dhoni and BCCI's approach today of strengthening the reserve bench. The might was at display during NZ ODIs and shows that if captain continues the good work, we are right on track for the next generation of cricketers as well.
Ganguly induced young talents into team, Dhoni explored the talented youngsters. But don't forget VVS. He is tha man behind success for Test team but unfortunate for not apparing in a single world cup tournament.
Midas turned into gold whatever he touched. He didn't settle for silver, which is what Dhoni just did in SA. Not having lost any series as captain does not make him a winning captain. In sports and war, you play only to win, not for a draw.
Let him WIN consistently at home and abroad and then shout from rooftops about his Midas touch.

You want to know about which of his contributions? He has three caps: 1. Captain 2. Wicket Keeper 3. Batsman

For Your kind information he is third highest run getter in This SA series after Sachin, and GG..
He is fortunate that he has got a team with trusted and proven warriors like Sachin, Laxman, Dravid, Gambhir, Sehwag, Zaheer... and they are performing at their best. Otherwise he is a zero. When it is needed most he got out to a poor shot in capetown. His bowling changes and field placements are very ordinary. He simply allowed Boucher and other tail enders to settle down and play important innings. From 130 for 6 SA could score 341, courtesy Dhoni otherwise We could have won this match and won the series.
If Dhoni won the series against Srilanka, South Africa etc..., It is the Midas touch of VVS Laxman. Nobody is writing about him. Sachin, Dhoni etc... getting plum ads.
dhoni's midas touch will end in england when we are due to play them in june 2011. the pitches there will be covered with grass. the english bowling team are the best swing and seam bowlers in the world. they will eat and tear into indian like wild dogs. look at our bowling. zaheer - always has an injury niggl here and there but he is good. ishanth - he cant bowl atleast 3 balls with a consistent line an length. sreesanth - he cant control himself and he bowls erratically worse. harbhajan in england- ???? sorry no way on those pitches. our batting is gud but sorry this time. and then we have go on a tour to australia in november. forget 3-1 like pommies did. we cannot even draw the series. world cup 2011- frontrunners are south africa, england and srilanka. india? no way. and sachin, dravid and laxman will retire after the australian tour. from there on forget the opposition bowling, even the press and public wiil tear into him and his team for every pathetic performance thereafter. we will be the only team who could not beat SA even after having them at 125/5. i have seen the india team's pathetic performance in 1987, 1992, 96, 99, 2003 and 2007. this team humiliated crazy fans like us. once bitten twice shy. now it ur turn guys.
