Australia needs help from umpires like Buckner Harper and Hair who will favour them at crucial moments in the matches to defeat opposite sides in crucial matches
Indian Team is No.1 only playing lot of matches in Asian pitches. This number one position is looks like a joke. I think England deserve the No.1 because they beat Austrila in very big margin. Moreover, people who say Sehwag is good player, no doubt he is good player but on Asian pitches. In fast pitches his average is below 15 in test matches. U should thanks Sachin and Laxman, otherwise this series may be gifted SA for 3-0
DO donot enjoyed No.1 position, it is on fake calculations

Disagree totally
If see Asia (or more precisely, the Indian subcontinent) has 4 test playing nations. Oceania has 2. Europe has 1. North America has 1. (Considering West Indies as one nation) Africa has 1. (Not considering Zimbabwe, as they have not featured in an official test match since 2005)
Clearly Asia has most number of test playing nations.
Since India plays its home matches in Asia, it is very natural than about 75% of its test matches will be held in Asia, same is true for Pakistan (assuming they play their home matches in UAE) and Sri Lanka. Even non-asian teams play about 50% of their "away" matches in Asia.
About England, yes, beating Australia at home is no joke, but they are currently number 5 in rankings.

i totally agree. Our batsmen need to adapt more quickly to pacy pitches. It is no big deal scoring tons of runs on flat pitches where bowlers have no chance. True class is shown while handling pacy, bouncy wickets. Undoubtedly, Sachin and Lax are by far the best. Gambhir is also getting there.

Actually you are not neutral but heavily biased.. 1. If third rank team wins against a fourth rank team it does not reflect it is better than the first rank team. You are still obsessed with Australia being the dominant team and since England has defeated them they deserved to be no 1...foolish logic. 2. Why do u think winning in asian pitches should not be considered for contention...test cricket is about the test of your skill in any condition...even in turning tracks..

You can't judge Schwag for one series failure. Though he don't have great technique like Dravid he had 2 three hundred's against his name.. Also he has performed very well in Australia & SA pitches eariler..
Last series against NZ, Tendulkar failed to score a hundred.. Now Schwag due to high expectation.. So reduce the expectation and the allow the team to play the natural game..

My dear friend .... you have accepted those calculations when Aus was No..1 and they were not winning test matches in Asian coutries ..Now we are No ..1 but recently we have been doing well in outside asia
Re: Drop Ricky Ponting

No, instead he should give up captaincy and play as a player. He will surely regain his old batting touch and can be useful to this team along with Hussey for another 2 years
The main problem Australia faced in the ashes series is not about Coach but the selection of the team. There are many blunders committee by the Australian selection committee. First, Nathan Houritz should have played as the main spinner from the 1st test itself. Then When Katich was injured, he should have been replaced with Phil Jacques, thirdly Cameroun White or Callum Ferguson should have come in place of Marcus North and Ricky ponting(for the final test).
Australia have been playing miserably for the last 2 years. They should stop playing cricket for some time. They should play only domestic cricket till they become really competiive.
