What a pathetic situation... players are available with a price tag... jus like in a buffalo market....in the name of "cricket" which ought to be a "gentleman's" game.....shame.... ofcourse cricket seems to have no relevance in this trade..

what's wrong with having a price tag? it is similar to a player asking for a salary. it is a gentlemen's game, but shouldn't gentlemen also get paid? don't you get a salary?

There is nothing wrong to have price/salary.. here.... in this case the player don't have a voice.. the are just auctioned..by some third parties.. for us to do work.. we go & bargain ourselves.....
Re: this is disgusting why not any pakistani player?
by Padam Jain on Jan 07, 2011 10:28 PM
ya pakistani players should be there..cricket is no where related with terriosism, it should be beyond any boundaries..should be played in good spirit of the game..waise where is pollard in the list????
In order to have a wider exposure for our players as also from other countries, the players from Pakistan and upcoming Bangladesh should be included in the AUCTION. It would be in the overall interests of Cricket and in particulr, retaining our SUPREMACY(?)

I think currently Pak cricket is in turmoil, with many under disciplinary action and spot-fixing investigations. From next season, IPL may take Pak players.
No idea why B'deshi players esp Tanim Iqbal and their captain are not in the list.

Need no gusses for not having Paki players...We all know well whats going on with the team...
And wellI guess re-read the list all the top B'deshi players r in the list...
In WC 2007 India lost against Bangladesh and Srilanka in a straight two matches. The IPL owners should pray for a better performance this time by BCCI XI in WC 2011, otherwise the TRP ratings, Ads everything will fall. Do they know what happened after Reliance Cup in 1989?
Pakistan has decided to lodge a protest with US President Barack Obama as Pakistani players are again left out of IPL. Zardari will also urge Obama to provide sufficient funds so that Pakistan can start its own cricket league.
