Yuvi was the best !!!
by guru on Jan 02, 2011 01:28 PM

Yuvi has given better than pieterson even sachin & sobers when he was at peak. He was a hero in the field as batter, fielder & bowler. He is not intrested in cricket now. I believe that he lost something in his personal life. Anyway, he already contributed best for team india. Weldone yuvi. Better luck for your personal life.

It's not about Punjabis it's about the foreign press trying to stereotype Indians and finding it easy to appoint a racial stereotype with Sikhs/Punjabis.

Question of Attitude
by BOLE BOLE on Jan 01, 2011 11:21 PM  | Hide replies

Indian cricket got its assertiveness from Ganguly first.Unlike his predecessors,he has steeled his team & made a force to recon with.Had it not been nasty politics,he would have continued to play.
Sachin played for his records with little contribution for Team India.

so true... during the spat with greg chappel, both dravid and sachin had no guts to say anything. Ganguly was the lone person who could speak his mind. Thats what you call attitude. Salute Ganguly for that. Rest of all Indians are of the 'yes sir' breed.

Interesting

When you are compared with the Great's like Mohammad Ali, Michael Jordan.. I would gladly take the spot proudly, i don't understand the whole point of rediff posting this article.. It more or less seems like Yuvi lost his interest in Cricket.. he has always been a Flamboyant person.. cant blame him for that, if that's what led to his success, it led to his downfall too..

I agree with this view. Many players got interested in things other than cricket; for some, the downfall was final. Others have bounced back. Example that comes to mind is Zaheer Khan. Yuvraj is a wonderful player and he deserves a come back. Having burnt is fingers (but not the fat yet), I hope life has taught him lessons. I would love to see him batting, bowling and fielding like the way he used to some 3 years ago.
