india stands a chance to win not because of its talent but by default that good teams have become moderate now. The Australians are not even 50% of what they were with Hayden, Gilchrist,Mcgrath and Ponting in Peak form. SO is the case with South Africa. Another talented side Pakistan is without its best seamers Asif and Umar and further victimized by its own politics.

Who is going to be the fifth bowler? Find one from the bench
1.Ashish Nehra clearly out of form and fighting with the fitness.
2. Shreeshanth - A Monkey in the side and destracts his temamates with his antics.
3. Aswin: Can replace Pius Chawla in the team (Can be given a chance)
Dont think we have good bowling department.
If Ishant Sharma was handled properly by Dhoni, he could have been handy in this world cup with his pace (He used to bowl at 145) and movement. But thanx to IPL and poor handling by Dhoni has contributed to Ishant Sharmas downfall.

Guys wait for next game you will either see Monkey Flying or your Unfit guy making others run hard on field. They have great potential and form is not gained by just bowling at nets

AP: KK is referring to the fact that we were on the wrong side of a probably dubious decision. And Strauss is indeed talking utter crap.

Watcha Doon:
;-)... Dubious decision? On what? :) Boss, we like to pick every little "excuse" we can think of, to justify Bucknor, 2008, this that and the other and cry about the "whole world is against us" syndrome..
For God's sake, there wasn't even an APPEAL... a frickin' appeal... and we are talking away about Dubious Decisions? ;-)

AP though not directly related to this match but since you keep digging the 2008 Bucknor Saga please read some facts as we go along. "I think it’s important that we sit back and look at that footage. Look at our body language. See if there are areas that we can improve on. We’ll look at some of the footage, its perception and the way people see things when they’re off the field" - Ricky Ponting.
"The match attained notoriety owing to the number of umpiring mistakes made by international umpires Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson and accusations of poor sportsmanship against both teams. The match ended in a dramatic defeat of the Indian team in the final ten minutes of the five-day match, with some commentators suggesting that the umpiring mistakes had a major impact on the course of the match which should have be rightly won by India at worst a draw" - Peter Roebuck

"Something gets triggered inside of you, something is burning inside of you - it is your will for success or your animal instinct that wants to bring another team down, We have been at the top for so long, it is like someone has taken the favourite thing you own from you and you want it back". —Andrew Symonds
"He called me a fool! He said bloody! This mustn't be allowed!" That is what has happened. Australia led the way in insults and now, claiming that an India player used a racist term, it is saying that rude behaviour on a cricket pitch is terrible, rotten, awful, mustn't be allowed. —Simon Barnes - The Australian

onting should have kept his mouth shut and nothing would have happened... It is quite unheard of for a captain to dob on someone like this and it is quite an unsportsmanlike act. I think Ponting should be chastised by Australian cricket officials for his actions.[90] Jeff Thomson, the former Australian fast bowler, harshly criticised the Australians by saying that:
The Aussies act like morons and bullies and they can't cop criticism from someone like myself. I think it was appalling that none of the Australians went over and shook Anil Kumble's hand at the end of the SCG Test. They just played up and carried on like idiots like they normally do

Ricky Ponting is the Ugly face of cricket.
There's certainly been a lot of feeling from ex-players who think the baggy green has been disrespected. Some of these (current) players need to be spoken to. I just think a bit of counselling needs to be done with how these players perceive themselves. As an ex-Australian player I was pretty disappointed. —Geoff Lawson, former Australian player
Kevin Bartlett, former AFL player, accused the Australian cricket team of bad sportsmanship towards its opponents by saying that:
You don't treat them with contempt, you treat them with respect – and I didn't see that from the Aussies

Louis:
The match attained "notoriety" for varoius reasons... and as rightly pointed out by Roebuck, it should at worst have been a draw.
What "flared" it up in the Indian media was that it did NOT end in the 100% certain draw it should have been...
As for the quotes you put up; I completely agree, that it was a fiasco for various reasons - not limited to umpiring. Inasmuch as the Australians themselves admitting it.
What I am trying to highlight is: our reasoning that this was the first match in history where poor umpiring occurred; and that we "lost" becoz of Bucknor (as if he ordered the last three wickets to surrender to the rank part time spinner Clarke) is flawed at best...
And why I brought up 2008 was purely in that context; which is exactly how Kumar Krishna is trying to "flare" up the Bangalore match...

AP: There was a clear cut West Indies connection between Andrew Symonds and Steve Bucknor.

Former England cricketer and current Channel Nine commentator Tony Greig, whose comments on air were criticised by Ricky Ponting stood by his observations saying:
I stand by what I said about the declaration If the umpires had got it right (and Rahul Dravid had not been incorrectly given out caught behind) Ricky would have been found out on the declaration. Going on to comment on other issues of the game including umpiring and the ethics of walking, he said:
Ponting got an edge down the leg-side and was out (but didn't walk). Then he got a bad decision for an lbw and carried on about it. There are double standards. At the same time Ponting is trying to persuade opposition captains to take his word on catches ... they are all over the place. All I can tell you is the best umpiring I have ever experienced and the best relationships between umpires and players was in England in county cricket where we had former first-class players like Mark Benson umpiring. You were considered to be a cheat if you didn't walk
Hi mates..Dhoni's words before the wold cup was sheer complacency and Indian cricket team is in the wrong hands right not...a "contented" captain who just doesn't feel that world cup is a BIG TOURNAMENT and complaining about fatigue before the world cup, concerned about next IPL season...needs to look seriously about his career as a cricketer because if world cup can't motivate you then what else can?
Whatever one might say about the prediction of a tie, one must see the way Dhoni is heading. he has been outstanding as a captain in the last two years or so with a generous sprinkling of luck ( Luck always favours the brave) He has stopped appealing for catches with the asme intensity what he was used to- result two sure decisions against Strauss gone with the wind His fixation with Chawla- giveing away two sixes in the penultimate over after Zak and Bhajji held fort- criminal- yes it is a game- but we can see Ashwin is the trump card that we are not using! England had not seen him and would have been a brilliant captains call. He correctly persisted with a sluggish, unfit Yuvraj, to give him time in the middle when the going was good. master stroke, that lost us one point as he played slow when somebody like Pathan could have massacared the attack and we reached over 370-380 effectively putting the match out of Englands grasp. 300-32 is just about par score in sub continent nowadays especially when due to ICC and other countrys pressure, we produce docile wickets, suiting the overseas players! here again Dhoni goofs up by not dictating terms with BCCI and venue curators. well, all good things have an end and i can see Dhoni's success going to his head....
A person who has confessed to have taken money from bookmakers alongwith Mark Waugh previously, predicting a tie, must be taken seriously. Especially nowadays, the English and Aussie media only sees South Asians but luv to overlook their own, this mite've been a slip of the tougue. But if a South Asian mite've said the same thing the reaction would've been different.

Arvind Aravindanatham:
Well said... Indian team should immediately be investigated for possible match fixing... How could they (including Dhoni) have taken orders from Shane Warne??
You have given the absolutely right reaction... ;-)
