Chawla..
by Bingo on Feb 28, 2011 11:30 AM

It is very hard to digest why Dhoni is still preferring Chawla over Ashwin???
Chawla's inexperience exposed in 49th over.
Soulless Munaf's body language is horrible, he even can't laugh properly....

Get Irfan Pathan or RP back. Irfan can bowl and bat. RP can swing the ball.

It is very hard to replace sleep fielder Dravid.Kohli is useless in sleep, same thing with Raina..he is good inside circle...In outfield his fielding is below average...Moreover Munaf patel is the only Medium Pacer in the world who can't throw direcly to wicket from boundry rope....

Good Bad & Ugly

Good - Great God & Zahir
Bad - Yuvi, Dhoni, Pathan, Kohli. Throwing their wickets for nothing.
Ugly - Chawla - 2 sixes from non-batsmen.
Munaf - Could not defend 14 runs. A bowler smashed him sixes in last over.

Call back Srishant.

No point blaming Dhoni,he expected his spinners to deliver they could not That is the reason we are not sure to consider Yusuf,Yuvraj,as batsmen or spinners cum batsmen that leads to more pressure on yuvraj and Yusuf.Like that all Indian batsmen can bowl off spin leg spin and what not If your attack bowlers do not perform what can captain do? Munaf was Ok Even SL Kulasekara hit and nearly won after hitting Umar gul the other day for sixes

Chink in india's armour was clearly exposed yesterday. There is no point in scoring 300 plus in every match and not able to defend it. Its high time that india should think of changes in bowling department.with this bowling it will get worse in knockout stages.India should do some thinking do develop good bowling talent pool which would benefit in the future

india has unpredictable batting..poor bowling..shoddy fielding and a dumb captain...no problems to other teams and no one is afraid of india...look how bangladesh played..almost got there if india had scored the same 338 in mirpur.

The indian players became complacent after touching 300. Except tendulkar and uv, the batting order was a disappointment. 7 wickets in 33 balls. Further, the bowling order needs to pick up. Ashwin should b replaced instead of chawla.

Dhoni the DUMB - Proof
by Senthil on Feb 28, 2011 10:20 AM

2.6 Khan to Strauss, no run, rushes down the track for the big drive through off but Zaheer dragged back the length and got it to move past the bat. Dhoni collects. Tv comms reckon there was a noise and an edge there. Dhoni thought about appealing but wasn't sure.

31.2 Khan to Strauss, no run, do you remember at the beginning of the innings, when there might have been an edge off Strauss's bat but no-one appealed? Well, looks like it's happened again. Strauss is beaten by one that nips off the seam, and there's a suspiciously woody sound as ball passes bat ...

How on this Earth a DUMB who can't either see the edge nor Hear a Edge from the Batsman Keeping for India and the DUMB Fans keep celebrating him to Prove they are also DUMB.

Yuvraj was the cause for 'defeat'(tie) ...
by Raj India on Feb 28, 2011 10:17 AM  | Hide replies

I strongly believe that the batting order caused india to make this a tie.India was in a strong position when Gambhir was out. India should have to use Kohli at 2nd down. But, Yuvraj (I admit that he got a 50) simply wasted the third powerplay. India got just 32 runs from the 3rd powerplay where Yuvi was simply defending balls instead of taking atleast singles. If Kohli was there at that position, I am sure that india could have taken 360-380 runs. More over, i am sure that india will not reach the semi's with this kind of bowling attack.

It was not batting that failed It was poor bowling,At this rate none of the Asian teams will win the cup Brilliant batting by Strauss, and bowling by Hardy,Swann, and Bresnan.Drop Bhajji I am sure India will do better.Tahir,Afridi,Bangla spinners have done well except this clown and asks for review for yorker LBW,Nasir Hussain was the best commentator yesterday

I know what u r telling. But, the fans know the pathetic situation of indian bowling better than the Indian captain. I am sure that this bowling attack can not defend any huge total against better batting line ups. That is why i told India could have taken 30-40 more runs if Kohli batted at the position of Yuvi. I also agree that Bhaji is an utter failure. But, our captain is not ready to experiment with better players.

Arrogance of Yusuf, Kohli, Harbajan (everytime i am tempted to say the term 'rogue/rascal'; sad that he is a DSP) did it against India otherwise atleast 25 more runs could have scored. We have such a pathetic team in the field who cannot even defend 338 in a dumb wicket that creates more trouble to the second batting team in night. So this loss of 25 runs matters. About fielding its better not said. Initial Tendulkar's fours were converted to ones and twos by splendid fielding whereas its viceversa by India fielders. A miracle did happen to couple of overs from Zaheer otherwise result would have on the records shown the pathetic Indian work matching their performance. In the penultimate over Piyush can be forgiven for first six but when even i could sense that batsman is going to wait for the ball the second six allowance he gave merely states that barring those 2 zaheer overs remaining 47 were pathetic. Its better not to say anything about Munaf's last over six. Everyone knows that batsman knows that Munaf is going to bowl slow. Shahzad was waiting for the slow ball and hit a six. The non-striker's confirmation to Shahzad after the six shows it. Can't he bowl a yorker or wide outside offstump ball?! Tailenders concentration goes off if an unexpected ball is bowled. So make it as 48 pathetic overs. Unfortunate that England did not win. But its great confidence builder to Eng, for chasing such mammoth total in Blore pitch is.

A disappointing match to 4 players. To me it was merely luck that saved India from defeat. A splendid hundred by Sachin a very good 2 overs by Zaheer were made worthless by arragonce of middle order and tailenders of India and overwhelmed by worst in WC fielding and 48 overs bowling on field. But A match-winning 150 and a superb spell of Bresnnan supported by Swann was not rewarded. I see some comments against tendulkar. I see less rationale behind that, but for tendulkar's knock we were otherwise destined to get bundled out less than 250 which means Eng could have rapped it up with 10 to 15 overs to spare. How come an opener's stand and a huge total be termed as wrong (forget that it was Tendulkar).

if some one to blame it's Bhajji and Piyush(who mishandled) during slog overs and recklessness in the indian batting during death overs.
I fear if the indian team is still thinking they are playing world cup now.
Time to have some tips from fellow pakistanis, The Dutch and Bangladeshi spinners before preparing for the next match.
I still hope they will come back strong in the WC.

india cat win due to bad fielding by seniors and ad making all te
by Rahul Ekbote on Feb 28, 2011 10:11 AM  | Hide replies

Piyush chazwla second last over ,2 sixes cost in dia match?
Very bad fielding and balling cost india?
Why sreeshant not included in his favorite ground ,where he performed best in NZ match.

also whenever Sachin plays for records ,tons india never win and when yuvraj plays over 50,india dont loose superstitions came true with match drawn, but bells LBW refral system denied bell as not out,so why not ICC cum BCCI chairman pawar shib ji not complain such clear unjustic e to india, what he is doing there?when all decisions against india,
also why india feared making turning wickets for matches in india?,iiots what can be said?
Also india must include and improve balling and batting collapses and wicket taking ballers like sreshant be included in team without politics,Dohoni listen to ur iunner voice, also why Tendulkar sahib not allowed to field 50 overs to help india in balling, instead of sitting, due to such attitudes of main players, india always loose imp. matches, forget our old legends amarnath and kapil ji.Due to sachin lower strike rate ,cost india win, thogh he made ton? Also india must learn to put accelerator on strike rate without giving catch practice, learn ground shots to hit max 4,instead of pull it always catch for 6 runs?????????

Munaf patel had done some costly mistakes........
1) one short run while he was batting
2) missed one run out chance of swan on 48th over
3) poor running while he was fielding
4)he didn’t know, how to bowl to a 9th batsman

Common mistakes were……
1)Worst fielding ever
2)Poor bowling
3)Very lazy fielding from M patel, G Gambir
4)Misfielding from R raina, V koli, H singh
