i want a format like this ....combo if 2007 and 2011
4 pool 4 teams in each pool 2 teams from each qualify in next round next round in knock out/QF (not super 6/8 stage)....
play it like football format to make it more interesting...crickar is copying things like dug out.. kids with players before match start... they should copy the format also....

In my opinion, 1999 and 2003 format was quite good (6 -7 teams in each group and top three teams from each group advancing to super six with carry forward points). Here, each team gets an opportunity to come back even after one or two upset losses. Similarly, moving to Super Six with carry forward of points make all matches important.

1992 WC format was very good as 9 teams played in round robit format i.e. 8 matches for 1 team

What India could not dared to do SA did and succeeded. They included three front line spinners in the side. India is wasting Piyush Chawla by including hopeless pacers like Sreeshanth and Nehra. India has only one pace bowler in Zahir Khan. Munaf lately is fairly good with his straight bowling even though he bowls slower than Afridi of Pakistan. India's main strength had been the spin but now a days pace bowlers are unnecessary hyped due to limited version of cricket getting popularity due to which spinners find little encouragement in domestic cricket. Many good spinners could not make it to national team in spite of good performance in the past. Sad that spinners like Oza, Mishra, Jakati and Chawla are sidelined to accommodate useless pacers like Munaf, Sreeshanth, Nehra etc. India should include both Ashwin & Chawla against England resting Harbhajan and Sreeshanth.

I am totally agree with you. I am still unable to understand, why they selected Sreesanth for WC, because he can't be a good oneday bowler, as because he can't bowl even 3-4 good bowl in a over. India should play two spinners Piyush and Bhajji/Ashwin with Zaheer and Munnaf..
