Totally disagree. This is THE kind of info we have been clamouring for, for years. Speed info of every ball is totally unnecessary. Also, the system is designed to give info about no. of overs per innings. They can;t help it if it is full 50 overs for any or most of the matches, but we will get useful info when the match is a truncated one.
3 crucial matches (QF, SF & F) will decide which team will lift the coveted world cup .. and within these 3 matches .. the toss, dew and other playing conditions also might affect the result substantially .. Hence at the end of the tournament, a great team might have one bad day or one of the batsman in the opposition team may have an extra-ordinarily lucky day .. and because of one of these reasons .. a deserving team is knocked out ...
A better option would have been to restrict the no. of teams to 12 and have 3 groups of 4 teams each .. A round robin league within the groups will ensure that the top two teams from each group move on (along with points) to the next round of Super Six. In the SuperSix each team plays the other once and hence with 8 matches played and all the points taken into account, the semi-finalists are chosen.
The SemiFinal should be at least a two match affair with one team batting first and in the next game bowling first. If both the matches are won by the same team, they go through easily. If both the teams win one match each, then, we could analyse pre-set conditions like NetRun Rate, No. of wickets etc.
The Finals should be definitely a 3 match affair ... with the 3rd match played only if required.
This format will ensure that there are more competitive matches in the SuperSix stage, the points from the entire league phase ensure that the best 4 teams who have played consistently go through to the next round. Deserving teams will w

If, in Mr. Faisal's opinion, the WC had to be used as a forum to display the richness of Indian music, then the only ones who deserved to be invited to perform were the Indian classical music exponents. If you talk about the richness of India's music, thats where the it lies - our rich heritage of classical music. Perhaps, Mr. Faisal would have been happy if some maestro like Pt. Jasraj or Balamurali Krishna had been invited to perform at the WC opening ceremony!
