Good enuff ceremony
by Arvind Aravindanatham on Feb 18, 2011 05:10 AM

Given the limited resources Bangladesh had compared to India[commonwealth ceremony with so much money at their disposal], Bangladeshis did a remarkable job. Bangladeshis tried to prove that apart from funding what such events need is a big heart, strong will and determination, and immense pride for the nation [not just lip service] and , which they proved today. Bangladesh ranks highly in the most corrupt index but they did'nt let this get in the way, Well done Bangladesh.

Which opening ceremony were you watching, buddy? This was the WORST opening ceremony in history!! It was amateurish, boring and completely third-class. Not worthy of a Cricket World Cup. Truly pathetic.

Please, don't mention CWG.
by Raj Gupta on Feb 18, 2011 12:16 AM

That's a shame for India. Especially, don't mention it with Beijing Olympics and Guangzhou Asiad. Nothing is comparable.

Bangladesh Vs India
by Indranil Chowdhury on Feb 17, 2011 10:54 PM  | Hide replies

Going by the last few games and warm up matches there does not appear to be any chance for Bangladesh. The spinners are doing extremely well and these bowlers should have little problem strangling Bangladeshi boys. The only weak link in the team are these 3 persons - Yuvraj, Dhoni and Raina , 2 of whom will be in first eleven (Dhoni will be there of course). In case of a little challenging run chase that is a worry. Apart from this the Indian team does not have much weaknesses. Theoretically Indian team should win confidently on Bangla soil although all predictions can be dashed.

Very unlikely. Indian team is performing at a much higher level than Bangladesh. If they do certainly there will be a fire in the country - like the Eden Garden riots, 2003 burning of players' houses (after they lost the first match).

It is a nation that was carved out of Pakistan and has now raced ahead of Pakistan, doing well in almost all sectors. And look at Pakistan, it is in the bottom line sunk in mess of its own making

Good job, Bangladesh! You are lucky that you are not in the same league as India in terms of having people like Kalmadi and Raja!
