I still remember Sharad Pawar smarting under the narrow defeat and his threat to Dalmiya to teach him a lesson, not thru' the court, but by other means. One only has to put 2 and 2 together to solve the puzzle.
We, after all, aren't a great deal different from Pakistan where personal ego mauls the greater causes!

being the only team intent on screwing the Aussies.

There will be many desis who will fall for this, but the truth is Aussies never forgot Dada screwing Australia with a rag-tag team.

And the Nagpur episode was a stab in the back by the anti-Dalmia lobby. Who needs enemies if you have Indians like the Nagpur guy!!

That episode was less to with the curator and much more to do with Dalmiya vs Shashank Manohar.

Same old

Nothing has changed since the days of the Raj. We were and continue to be a strange land, where we let outsiders come in, divide us and show us we are pushovers. It's not important if these 2 chickened out. Why do we need this joker come and tell us all that?

This fellow has himself become a past tense in the cricket timeline.. but has to use 'was' and 'used to be' for describing indian players who are still playing.. nt going into the grammatical details.. just an observation

Strategy to sell a book
by canblog on Feb 04, 2011 11:50 PM  | Hide replies

Another aussie writes a book after his retirement. Another publicity gimmick so that people will buy the book. Who in the world would read books about cricketers except for people from India, Australia or England.
I will not be surprised if Hayden becomes the next coach of Indian Team :) It happens only in INDIA.

I dont think people in INDIA will fall for such cheap publicity. This will be the talk of the town for another 1 month which will grab full media attention and a good cricket news before the WORLD cup starts.
One good thing about this issue is that the media might be less focused on excricketers predicting INDIA's victory in the world cup. Which will never happen if someone predicts ahead.
Imagine what would have happened if "Paul -the OCTOPUS" would have been alive now. Vijay Mallaya or one of the news channels would have bought it in an auction to predict INDIA's matches. If it predicted that India would loose against any team then the public would have killed it. Thank god Paul had a successfull career and died peacefully.
