we lost the match yesterday when we slipped from a position of strength. when from 213for 3 we were all out for 288 we lost the match.further,we allowed aussies to score over 250 after they were 24 for 4. we never crossed the 300 mark in the last 5 or 6 overseas matches

Let Sachin or Dravid open the innings with Sehwag.Rest Gambir & take Rohit on board. Rest Laxman & add one spinner. Give one more chance to Virat. So u hv three pacers (Umesh,Ishant & Zaheer)& two spinners in the team. The pacers hv to attack the batsman throughout-the key to success on Australian wicket.Batsman hv to play cool.

I think India will field the same team.

If India batsmen does not make basic mistakes, we will be alright.

The person to be dropped is dravviid. He was bowled middle stump and missed an easy catch to let the batsman score. There is no use of keeping him. Selectors wake up please.

catastrophe !
by MANAV THAKKAR on Dec 29, 2011 12:58 PM

For a change , ours was a better side than australia in all deptts but we messed up again . when would we learn to take lessons from our previous mistakes. India was in full control of this match till the time aussies were 168 / 8. That was the time to go for full throttle , but they allowed them to make 60 crucial runs thereyby dugging their own grave . No wonder , we might see another 4 - 0 win in favour of austraila

Team for the 2nd Test:
by abc_xyz abc_xyz on Dec 29, 2011 12:58 PM  | Hide replies

Ashwin has already proved to be a very useful batsman and is one of the most intelligent cricketers in the world at the moment. Considering that, India can gamble a bit and play the below XI for the spinner-friendly SCG track:

Sehwag
Dravid
Tendulkar
Laxman
Rohit Sharma
Dhoni
Ashwin
Zaheer
Umesh
Ishant
Pragyan Ojha

Same Old Result - Predicted
by kiran kumar on Dec 29, 2011 12:56 PM

Everyone knows what will be the final result of the match. Same old thing happened today as well. We are good as a team playing in home grounds but we have failed continuously in SA, WI, ENG, NZ and now in AUS. I still wonder why Indians expects something which our team is not capable of. How many more examples you people need? We got World Cup because the venue is in Mumbai, if it is somewhere else then everyone knows what happened to all those World Cup events held outside India after 1983. Waste of time in writing this comment as well.

I have reminded you at the end of WI Tour that there will be complete washout for Indians in Australia but you didn't mind it.

But you have witnessed my first instalment.

THE DOWNFALL OF INDIA CRICKET HAS BEGUN

Sachin Tendulkar never plays when India needs the most. What is the use of his overseas experience.Atleast give some fight before losing. Best luck for next test.
