:-). And almost 95% of those matches could result in less pressure if only VVS wakes up in the first innings. ;-)

This overconfidence of Indiam team has only always backfired for them. Let them don't forget, they will be facing Australians, and aussies will not surrender so easily.

by Atanu Banerjee on Dec 28, 2011 06:17 PM  | Hide replies

Mr.Dhoni got brilliant test batting record in India; But outside the sub-continent he is horrible to watch.Has he taken his place for granted being captain.Very alarming.Selectors take anote of it.

Dhoni is very serious about his cricket. He has guts to accept truth. He recently said he doesn't have good batting technique. He also said he is not sure about his availability in next WC. Player like him will not take a second to quit cricket when done.

rocky, that is because the choice is not in his hands alone. he is captain of the team and has to should more responsibilities than others...besides with the other players getting injured left right and centre some experienced players is needed to play. unfortunately it is he as he is the msot fittest of all current indian players and also remains injury free most of the times...he would like to rest but the selectors dont give him his wish...not that they are very wrong either...everybody has got their own problems...the players, they selectors they have their reasons too...with dhoni being such a huge impact player they want him in the side as many matches as possible...

I agree with u, he is not at all technically sound in batting and a wicket keeper/captain should be a rock solid batsman. But he was the guy who accepted the captaincy responsibility when one elite person refused to take over.

Why this comment ?
by Jatin Das on Dec 28, 2011 06:14 PM

The scenario is not at all like it used to be before , the aussie side is nothing when compared to the ones we have seen in the last decade , however still the smart cricketers who play politics and word games better than cricket nowadays , will make it sound like something phenomenal ... and continue and earn money and flourish at the cost of us all !!!!

India's win....
by k prabu on Dec 28, 2011 06:13 PM

As the history goes Tendulkar never scores heavily in second innings especially if India is playing the 4th innings....so we shouldn't be surprised. Similarly i will be totally surprised if my theory is wrong!!
Letz pray for India's win rather than one man's individual milestone. Having said that if both India is going to win and Sachin scores his 100th ton then i should definitely agree then its double whammy!!!
