When laxman made 167 against McGrath and Warne and Gillespie, dravid did not make a single 50 in that whole series. Go check the stats of dravid in aus first. He only plays in the batting paradise - Adelaide. Sachin has played everywhere - Sydney (148*, 241*, 154*), Perth(114, 71), Adelaide(61, 153). Melbourne (116, 52, 62, 44). dravid has made only one century in australia (233) in the batting paradise adelaide. His 1999 aus tour scores - 35, 6, 9, 14, 29, 0. Dravids 2008 aus tour scores - 5, 16, 53, 38, 93, 3, 18, 11.

What do you mean by "Play"? If you want to just stop or leave outside ball for hours and not strike it, that is good in test matches. Sachin, Sehwag and VVS can also play "that" way. But when it comes to pull, hit, cut that kind of bowling it is dangerous but you need to do in ODI and T20. That's why Dravid realised and he is not in ODI.
Laxman should concentrate on his fitness and try to reduce his waistline. He runs like a 50 yr old man. Cant even bend to field a ball at sleeps. Cricket has gone far beyond just connecting ball with good reflexes. I guess, even today, azar has a better fitness than this man.

i dont completely agree wid u..he's a bit sloppy..bt his batting skills have saved India many times...
probably he is carried away by the victories in both test and one day on the home grounds against WI. His memory is short from his comments that, we were washed out both in test and One days by England in their soil very recently and ofcourse we won on them in one days in our soil.
The team and country will definitely be happy if we are a formidable team to fear, for which, we require consistency in all departments and involvement by all players in their respective fields. Let Lakshman not take Australia too easily else, the team may have to revisit the nightmare of England.

hehe. Your memory seems to be washed awy by the one bad tour in england. Are you assuming that is and was the reality forever ?
dont jump on to conclusion , wait and watch, India has to play well. For many players India is a good team to regain good form (eg Chanderpaul, Ponting , saeed anwar, jay suryia, clarke ) and much more
