Achaa! Kaise bol rahe ho VVS Saab
by cc man on Dec 20, 2011 06:25 AM  | Hide replies

Not sure with what confidence he has been making such statement considering we have baby bowling attack compared to SA,ENG,AUS. And considering we have a batting line up that cannot shine in bowler friendly conditions except Dravid saab. Unless we have world class wicket taking pace bowlers at a good strike rate, we cannot beat any nation in their home. Also, below will be the dismissal mode of indian batsmen in Austalia

1.VVS Laxman - clean bowled thrice between 0-30 score and caught and bowled between 0-70 twice. LBW once
2.Tendya - LBW 4 times between 0-50, clean bowled - twice between 0-70.
3.Dravid - caught behind thrice between 40-130,clean bowled twice and lbw once.
4.Sehwag - caught bowled -4 times, bowled 4 times

We have already seen your dismal performance against England a few months ago. Hence dont make such tall claims, prove it in Australia. Best of luck.

It is very easy to make lofty claims!

Proving them is very very difficult!

and than I guess Indians will stop watching this non athletic gentle sport called cricket. True champions win everywhere regardless of location, conditions etc etc. You can't blame umpiring, weather, etc etc. Lots of games against WI, India could have lost.

Well said, my Namesake.

Indian team can only play well in India because Indian corporates can fix the matches in Indian team's favour!

What's the big deal????!!!
by Manu Zach on Dec 19, 2011 08:50 PM  | Hide replies

The Indian cricketers and Indian cricket fans still are living with the belief that the Australians are the best in the world and beating them in their own backyard is the biggest achievement. Yes...once upon a time, it was true. But then the Indians - or any team for that matter - were not able to come even close to beating the Aussies.
Times have changed...Now the Aussies are just as vulnerable as any other team. Still the old guys in the Indian team are talking as if they are about to take up an expedition to climb Mt. Everest. The bitter humiliation endured by them in the past at the hands of the Aussies might be still lingering..

India came really close in 2004, Australia had to save the test (and the series) in the Sydney test.

And remember those Ricky's famous lies. He lied so many times in the field with the biased umpiring decision.

One umpire had to resign after that series may be Bukner because of poor decisions.

So people have short memories, India had defeated there just luck was not in a favor.

Cheers

In the record books, there is nothing called 'came really close'. Just win, loss or draw.

if zero knowledge, no common-sense monkeys are given computers and internet, then these are the kind of comments they give. For your kind information, when your so called greatest australian team was at its peak, india went and drew the series there in 2003. While that same team lost to india in india!!!

Doers do not talk and talkers do not do an old adage . VVS are you trying to test the weak memory of crazy cricket nation? For some years now we have been doing reasonably well in Indian conditions , but what about our performance over seas. How can one make such statement - the way we lost in England , please understand I am saying the way we lost - as losing and winning is part of parcel of the game - was just humiliating . So just stop all this type of talk - need not have to say what this type of talk is !

99% USA citizens are only interested in NFL and MLB leagues. They don't even care about other games. Do we care about NFL and MLB? same applies to cricket.

Looks like you don't know much abt America. No one cares about the olympic sports in US compared to NBA, MLB and A. Football. If they are winning in Olympics it is because they give citizenship to foreign players and because of the individual interest in a sport. People don't go and watch the olympic sports.

Guys I am in US and like NFL as well as cricket but CRICKET IS UNIQUE GAME see below,
1. This is the only game has DRAW besides Tie, Win and Loss (only in real format - Test)
2. It has individual as well as team performance.
3. In other games we need to have pass to score a goal or basket. Here when Batsman bats he is individual and bowlers bowl , tey are individual (for clenaed bowled , LBW)
3. It shows aggression also like in NFL while batting and fast bowling.
4. It has techniques of Swing, spin, cut, pull etc. you will find in any other games.

So?? You feel unless you lick the white guys and follow the same things you are not worthy?? Enjoy what you enjoy, and stop worrying about europeans and americans. If you like their games like baseball, NFL or NBA then go play or watch that! rest of the world doesn't care about those games!
