There was a similar article about Munaf Patel on rediff couple of years back with a kind of similar picture. Today Munaf is a complete off spinner who can bowl occasional medium pace. Aaron - If any bowling coach/management/caption/etc ever ever tells to reduce pace and concetrate on Line, Length and other BS show him ur middle finger. ;)
Munaf started as fastest in the country, see him now, he is gentle medium. Ishanth still has promise, but even he bowls medium pace. Sreeshanth is always medium pace. RP is similar case. Hope Varun keeps his pace intact after an year or so.
Fast bowlers like Munaf Patel, Ishant, Sreesanth and now this Aaron they all arrive on the international scene with a Bang. But soon girls get after their lives, and all their pace and drive runs out through their crutch and they settle down to a passenger speed of a 120. A couple of guys who can score with the girls as also maintain their zip zap zoom, they are the ones we require. But where are they?
I remember reading a similar article about Munaf Patel being the fastest Indian bowler around 10 years ago. Then it was VRV Sing (doen one even remember him) who was the fastest. Then came Ishant, Abhimanyu Mithun, Sreeshant who all claimed to bowl at over 140 kmph consistently... but we all know the reality dont we...so let us not get excited too much about Varun...he too will become a low 130's bowler within a year or 2 after coming in the Indian team. Jai Ho...

Srinath was much better than Prasad in terms of pace, line and length rather than pitching on the shorter length and getting smashed around the park.
I hope rediff stops this overhyping and ruining the players. I remember rediff writing a similar article about Munaf Patel, the fastest Indian Bowler in early 2000. Now everyone knows, how is Munaf bowling? Stop doing this rediff until a player performs atleast for a year!!

Dhoni? Dhoni is finished not only as a skipper but also as a player in the team. He was tolerated for being a lucky captain (notwithstanding his keeping and batting prowess) but now the England series has proved that it is over, you can see him in commercials for some soft drinks and cookies.

you guys talk rubbish when they perform poor.. england has just won one series.. dont forget we are the world champions.. england may be the inventors but not even won a world cup.. what a team.. right now thats world class team.. you be consistent.. and then call yourself.. just one series cannot belittle your teams confidence.. you will see them thrashing the one day series.. morover luck alone will not make a team win every game.. thats ridiculous.. he has played many brilliant knocks.. credibility is important in cricket..

My dear "Mithun" i hope i hope you r not so found of cricket, if then you should have spoke this. I want to tell you that this this Indian team is often told as best team in the world........... but the consistent is the main factor, if you had seen the last world cup, you might find out that England was the most unsuccessful team among the test playing nations except Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, but they rouse from ashes to regain their place where as i India the most powerful team has act like a cold cat in this tour..........another thing did you remember the winning run of Australia at their peak period,(from 1999-2005)that period might also known as Australian ear in Cricket History, but can you ever tell that this last world will begin the era of Indian Cricket, sorry i will not certainly wait for your answer as i know that you will not reply, but i can say that at the time when Sourav was the Captain of Indian team, our national cricket was at the peak, most of the young-stars has performed well to prove themselves, Zahir,Bhajji,Youvi & Rahul the old chap has also performed well under his captaincy, so i hope this Indian not at-all the best team of all time.

English talk bullshit. Winning Ashes and India series thinks that they conquered the world. I think their egos will always let them feel inferior to other teams when major team will kick their asses once again.
