What happened to Dhoni's great strategies ??????
by Cool Guy on Aug 21, 2011 09:56 AM  | Hide replies

What happened to Dhoni's great strategies which media was hyping just a month ago ??????
Or was it his pure luck that 90% of the series played after he took over as captain from Kumble were played in dead mud tracks of India.

Most of the people in India knew that its because of luck, and some great responsible match winning individual performances by the likes of Sehwag,Gambir,Laxman and some times Sachin, Khan,Harbhajan, little bit Ishant

What a drubbing
by Mohan Deshmukh on Aug 21, 2011 09:34 AM

Rain please save us the ignominy of a meek surrender. We are trying hard to lose by increasing margins in each test. Have put our tails between our legs. You see when we won the world cup, BCCI paid us very less and increased the amount by a meager sum. They did not pay us handsomely as we had asked. So, our countrymen, our morale was down. How could we play, leave alone fight, if we were mentally not up to it???? ALso, since Sachin did not get his hundredth hundred, we were disappointed. Since he has rarely if ever scored when the team required him to, how could he do so now. Please understand and sympathise with us rather than getting angry. We require your backing.

Tendu worshippers - do you have an answer
by LOL on Aug 21, 2011 09:24 AM  | Hide replies

Ye Tendu worshippers....please let me know if there is a possible explanation for the "master batsman's" reckless and irresponsible stroke to give his wicket away in a platter to a spinner that's fit for being belted black and blue on an otherwise normal match. So Mr tendulkar, Is it the match pressure or lack of technique or both?.

If any of the worshippers have an answer, I would like to know.

Whilst on the topic of Tendulkar and his selfish personal records, can you also expand on Dravid now playing the useless selfish personal innings?? :-)

You don't know anything. There are batsmen like Kallis and Ponting who have better batting averages than Sachin. Not only that, they have better records in times of crisis than Sachin. But what is the population of Australia or South Africa? Australia hardly has 22 Million and South Africa about 50 Million people. Populations of these two countries added up is 76 M, which is only 6% of that of India. See the point? Sachin has to carry the burden of expectations, which is 16.6 times greater than the combined burden of Kallis and Ponting. Therefore Sachin is the greatest, and he should play as long as he wants to.
QED.

when has tendu ever scored when the chips were down? Why expect now? They should have signed a surrender treaty after the second test and enjoyed themselves at BCCI expense for the rest of the period. Losing is not bad, losing in such fashion is worse.. no fight?? not one good score? NOt one time we could get english batsmen on the amt or have the full team out? What a shame!! But, our cricketers will get their money and endorsements and so how does make a diff to them if the country's reputation is at stake? For them country never was an issue other than just in words.

Raina not for tests
by LOL on Aug 21, 2011 09:05 AM  | Hide replies

I think Raina is a one day / T20 player. He is not cut out for the long haul, He plays the shorter version of game very well. Lets keep him for that.

And for heavens sake lets have atleast 3 to 4 pitches which have true bounce. The problem of not able to negotiate bounce and swing has recurred so often that its tedious to even write about it.

change the strategy
by VENKATESH on Aug 21, 2011 08:45 AM

Bring Quality allrounders. If India wants to win the Test Match they should play with 5 regular bowlers. Playing with 4 regular bowlers will not solve the purpose. This England tour proved that India Lost the series only short of 1 regular bowler and he should be an allrounder. Each & every team in the world including Bangladesh have got 5 regular bowlers. At least from now Dhoni can understand this. Instead of bowling himself, you select 5th bowler who can also bat.

If there was any sense of shame left, the entire Pawar licking BCCI, Shricunt, washerman captain, and his gay Rainabow partner should resign forthwith.

What are the chances that India will 'draw' this match ? I feel 70:30 that they'll draw it. India will fight back strongly in the next innings..What do you'll say ?
