by manoj bhatia on Aug 18, 2011 12:22 AM  | Hide replies

On the basis of the performance of the team, I would like to experiment with Indian Team for the fourth test match.

Dravid (He is the best batsmen of this series)
P.Kumar (He opens for his state)
Gambhir
Dhoni ( He is in good form)
Kohli
Raina
Tendulkar
Ishant
Sreesanth
Munaf
Mishra

I know the entire country is disappointed with Sehwag's performance in the 3rd test. But I still feel it is unfair to criticise a player for his failures in one test. I am sure Sehwag is capable of bouncing back.

Proud Brahmin
I agree BCCI should create circumstances to help selfish Sachin
by Proud Brahmin on Aug 18, 2011 12:18 AM  | Hide replies

I agree BCCI should create circumstances to help selfish Sachin score a century in this tour , after all he is the greatest athlete in the history of the human kind on the planet earth who is also considering business ventures while he is on tour and that keeps him busy , but he should be allowed to do that as he is a Saraswat Brahmin being the favorite Shishya of goddess Saraswati.Imagine if Zaheer or Irfan had taken care of a business venture while on the tour , but yes we owe Sachin all these opportunities , be it tax free Ferrari or his ability to indulge in busines venture while on a official tour after all India is for the Brahmins , Of the Brahmins.

If Sachin in spite of being given given special circumstances by using BCCI influence (like pressurizing umpires to never give Sachin LBW etc and having Shastri on the commentators box who would be extolling the god of Indian cricket all along ) we should ask Newzealand to tour India in hot summer so that Sachin ca score a century in a small stadium in tier II city in India. I hope I speak for all devotees of Sachin the god of Indian cricket and keep quiet Geoffrey Boycott and we love you Tony Greig and ofcourse Ravi Shastri.

Fully agree with Proud Brahmin. Added to that they allowed Tendulkar's son to bowl to the players in the nets. It shows how serious the team is in in its net practices. No doubt the team lost all the three tests played so far and I would not be surprised if they lose the 4th one also.

Absolutely! Pawar has taken lots of money and given a few to players to underperform. I live in U.K. and i see english people boasting everyday of becoming world no 1 test side. infact they are selling T shirts mentioning England as world no.1 test side. the way they are celebrating is ridiculous....it is a shame for me being an indian to face all this. but our players have not just lost the series but been mauled or thrashed. that makes me think that money is behind all this.

Even if both his hands and legs become dysfunctional, his greed for money will not end. Sharad Pawar is a disease like HIV/AIDS which does not have a cure.

Don't think it is the greediness of sachin but it is the greediness of the BCCI to arrange a tour after tour and an event after event giving little time for the players to recuperate. In such an event the players have the right to choose which tours they want to go. The BCCI should given atleast one month between each tour or event, then the players get the required rest and can refresh themselves and regain their focus. Otherwise we will have to experience this sort of events that are taking place in england

Well said Dhoni. Take heart from the fact that England was routed 5-0 by Australia at home in 2006-2007. Same Strauss,Cook,Bell,Pietersen,Anderson were in the England side. Harmison,Hoggard and Ashley Giles were there too along with Flintoff constituting a formidable English Team.

Ray:

Correction. They were not "routed". They played well and were defeated by Australia.

"Routing" is what we are seeing in this current series - of the "so called" Number one side... :)

pseudo: very well said. the result 5-0 shows clearly that there was a massive fight between two heavyweights of the cricket world.

anybody who says the result 5-0 shows a rout is really silly...excellent..:)
