Dhoni's so-called tactics never worked because honestly speaking, Dhonee never had any tactic at all...it was one or the other player performing in the last 3 years...Sehwag in tests, Gambhir in 2009, Kohli in ODI's this year, Raina sometime before that, Yuvraj Singh in world cup etc....That's why India won matches in the last few years.......And not because of any captaincy...captaincy is a big lie which has been perpetrated by the corrupt media...can you think beyond captaincy and count the no. of occassions when Dhoni's decision really made a difference?...if you look carefully, Dhoni had no contribution at all...Dhoni himself was the non-performer all along, quietly pocketing all glory heaped on him by a corrupt media for no reason at all...but this is where Dhoni's luck ends as it should because he is useless after all

you have left the most important question posed by venugopal unanswered..who is the replacement for dhoni from amogst the players..sehwag (a failure) sachin (he wont dare) dravid (he will not accept) kohli or raina or gambhir (except for gambhir both are very raw, even gambhir is not so good) so whom do you suggest..if you have diagnosed the decease you should also suggest the medicine..just blaming Dhoni is not useful

@ madan menon...it's a disease not a decease but anyways...you'll have to correctly identify or diagnose a disease (which is the first step )before you look for treatment...and right now I am doing that...finding a cure or Dhoni's replacement will come LATER and I am not bothered about that RIGHT NOW....but if you ask me, anyone can do that...the players that you mention, sehwag etc have failed in this tour but they have contributed in one way or the other some time back UNLIKE Dhoni who does not have anything substantial to show all these years...as for a keeper, I would say on current form both Karthick and Patel are better than Dhoni....but that would come after wards...first step is to look beyond all the hype and call a LIE a LIE and sack Dhoni

dhoni's good performances r mainly against weak teams n in sub-continent pitches only.
a team 'called' as no.1 cudnt beat world no.10 team wi by chasing 180 runs, that was the worst case of giving credit to the hyped team. that showed the start of the complacency.

when all grt player were showing back, dhoni is the only one who scored more than 70 in both innings. comeon man with one series don't judge the credibility of our team. They are good players which they proved time to time. You will priase them very soon.

Dhoni is as useless as his score of 70 was in the last test match....those innings dont do you no good...people like you expect dhoni to play for 70 more matches on the basis of that score of 70....this kind of complacent indian attitude is at the root of our downfall

True Dhoni 77 in 1st inn saved India from being bowled out for less than 150 but his second 74 was useless since the match was already lost. Those runs really have no meaning
