PK batting is just hit and miss. Swann flights the ball superbly bowling a line on or outside the off stump and is not afraid of getting hit out of park because that is the way classic offspinners operate. Prasanna bowled like that many years back according to Sunny Gavaskar. Sunny actually was appreciating his bowling style

The indian sardar has a name - Harbhajan singh - was a more dangerous bowler in his peak. It's only now over a long career he's faded out. He needs a break now he's got it.
It's also got to do with dhoni's defensive captaincy. Dhoni needed to talk more to harbhajan during the match

harbhajan was claiming wickets only till the time Kumble was there to put pressure from the other end and causing the batsmen to take chances against harbhajan for scoring runs and getting wickets as it was a drought of runs from his end

I do know that, but it was very entertaining nevertheless, I believe he hit as many as three sixes! I thoroughly enjoyed it, so did many others I know.

Swann's stats aren't close to great anyway this series, just 4 wickets at an average of a 80.25 , sr rate. 109.5

When you get may be 4-10 overs per inn you cannot take many wickets , thanks in large to Indian Batsmen who get out to the 3 Quicks. Only inn Swann was not at his best was 1st inn @Trent Bridge

well, spinners have been ineffective in these tracks,whether harbhajan, mishra, swann or part timers. it's also luck and that bcci drs factor. harbhajan could've easily added few to his tally , let's say had dravid caught trott his first ball in the match. as we know harbhajan remains a confidence bowler, sad but true...things are a bit diff. with him if he gets wickets. drs wouldve helped spinners, esp. offies swann and bhajan
# All the seniors want to secure their slot, look at tendulkar and gang have done to Kohli and Rohit. Look at what was done by selectors lobby to RP Singh who was most suited for england. Look at how they pushed Mishra when pragyan and rahul are dual spin attack that would have stalled Angrez run chase because angrez are more used to pace and certain style of spin that Harbhajan and Mishra practice. this is why Pragyan was called to country in AngrezLand.
players like rahul to stop T20 run chase at will by braod, prior, bell, etc.
