we should have a separate captain for Test Matches
by Mohammed G on Aug 16, 2011 02:17 PM

Tests are not meant for Gr8 Dhoni, Dhoni is charm and luck for our indian team but for 20-20 and one days i feel. So we should give a try for new Captain for Tests alone.

Being a very powerful , board should ensure that we play only in sub continent and that to against Bangladesh , Zimbabwe , Kenya , Ireland etc so that our number one position will remain as it is and more importantly Sachin can reach his 100th century and also many more records so that it will help him to get Bharat Ratna

Actually there was no turning point, but were turning pointS. Each time our batsmen came out to bat, there was a turning point.. he is out..!! It happened 20 times in this test. And whenever their batsmen given catches, we dropped.. it happened 4 times in this test.... AND MANY MORE TURNING POINTS...!

indian team selection

india playing excessive cricket no doubt on that ( what about the ipl circus ),zaheer khan, sreesanth, harhajan, yuvraj, gambhir, sehwag all carried injuries, to beat the english team (they are playing the best cricket)is next to impossible. zaheer & harhajan should not be in the team in the first place. in india we have different yardsticks for different players.for people like sachin, dhoni, harbhajan, zaheer the criteria is different. as a matter of fact if sachin is the aussie team he would have been forced to retire, in india he will keep on playing till he achieves all individual records.rahul & laxman should always perform in tests that is the criteria for these 2 players, we should now start look beyond these 2 players.for players like parthiv patel,Badrinath, kaif, virat, rohit, irfan, ohja, amit mishra, ashwin etc there are different yard sticks.GANGULY WAS FORCED TO RETIRE,sanjay bangar was forced out even though he was performing well, WHY SACHIN IS NOT VACATING ATLEAST IN ONE DAY CRICKET, HE SHOULD TAKE A LEAF FROM DRAVID'S BOOK & ANNOUNCE HIS RETIRMENT FROM ONE DAY CRICKET.

Don't criticise Team India
by Jomesh George on Aug 15, 2011 05:45 PM  | Hide replies

There is no point in criticising the indian team for the present debacle in England. The conditions suited for English players particularly the bowlers.See what happened to the famous English bowlers particularly Anderson in the wc 2011.They got thrashed by the willows of then not so popular Tendoschate and Kevin Obrien. Moreover i feel India will better the performance in ODI and T20 matches. There is nothing wrong in the preparations of Team India as for the last 2 years they fully concentrateted on winning the WC and moulded the team as an ODI favourites.I think winning the WC is bigger than a test series in England.

I like the Positive game approach of INDIAN team . In a sport Win or Loss is common . But spirit of Sport to be maintained . Bravo , We did not play negative cricket . Still we are best . Room for improvement ; do it .

Poor fielding
by gaurav sharma on Aug 15, 2011 01:21 PM  | Hide replies

In the whole series whenever we dropped catches that batsman went on to score heavily. In the first test, KP was dropped by Dhoni, he made 202. In the second innings, Dhoni and Dravid drooped Broad he made big partnership. Second test, dhoni dropped Bresnann, he made 90. Third test, Dravid, Tendulkar, Dhoni, Sreesanth drooped Cook and see the result. Phir bhi nahi sudherte.

sharmaji, were you happy when 5 catches of sachin were dropped in semifinal? if you fix the matches and humiliate other, someone else you will humiliate you and that without fixing..
