There was no turning point at all. But the use of plural begs a serious lesson in simple English.

I was at edbagston on the fourth day which was the final day as well and before entering the ground at 9:30 I saw Rahul Dravid was at the nets outside the ground with pragyan ojha bowling to him. His age is 38 and sincerity and commitment is undoubted. It was sad that he got out in an unfortunate way by hitting his shoe lace but on the other hand our young star gautam gambhir was heading to the nets at 10 am and I am pretty sure he had just got up , his face sleepy and he got out first ball giving catch practice to english team. The old wise man trio of Indian team do not require any wake up call , it is the youngsters who need it. These defeats should have shown them where they stand and if they want to improve what they need to

Goutam would have come out to practice early had it been IPL and Preity Zinta/Shilpa Shetty bowling to him.. Test match lacks glamour...

What kind of English is this? There was not a single turning point; but the use of the plural needs a lot to be desired.

India at the lowest ranking soon just below Zimbawe
by Rakesh Awasthi on Aug 15, 2011 01:02 AM

We have a wrong Coach in Duncan Fletcher.. We have 50 overs and 20-20 sepcialists in Indain team like Suresh Raina. Suresh is the boyfriend of Poorna Patel, praful Patel daughter..So he can be vouched as a future Indian Captain. We should have Rohit Sharma in his place. With youngsters coming to take place of Dravid, lakshman and Tendulkar..We will be going to 6th place in Tests and 4th place in ODIs for next 2 years. We have all the wrong selections...because of BCCI, IPL and ministers influence...BCCI is the most corrupt sport federation in India...We need a cricketer Anna hazare to clean this mess

"Bikash Mohapatra, who was at Edgbaston, identifies the turning points in the match..."
Rediff does it again....

Lonawala has been renamed thrice in 3 weeks...
First it was renamed 'Lords', then 'Nottingham', and now 'Edgbaston'....

Indian team

Indis has gone there with half fit players like Zaheer,Yuvaraj,Gambir,Harbhajan. Dhoni& Raina can't find their place in any other team except Zimbabwe & Kenya as keeper/batsmen & batsmen. But unfortunately they are representing India where as better talented persons like Dinesh,Vijay,Badri,Jaffer & Pujara is not even in selection list.
So Dhoni should be sacked & Gambhir to be made as captain with an instruction that he should not be region based in selecting players like Gavaskar,Bedi,Kumble,Dravid & Dhoni.
Only if players are selected on merit basis to reperesent our country.
Put a ban on Indian players not to play in IPL & then you can find how many players are either going to court or take leave feigning Injury.
This is hammering on Dhoni's head for his selfishness, partiality.
He brought shame on India by losing without any commitment as captain, keeper & batsman.

Rahul Dravid first innings bold is the wicket of the year 2011 and Rahul innings exit from pitch without REVIEW is matchles like King Ashoka the gr8 leaving king hood for BUDDHISM after gr8 war of KALINGA? so RAHUL DRAVID gifted the match to his friends in laws SACHIN in laws sachin was there on the pitch could have prvented RAHUL DRAVID from leaving the pitch and asking cross bat REVIEW but our minds sets are so dull after winning world cup that we never played any match as a team after world cup say IPL4? Hats off ENGLISH gentlemen for not showing the sporting spirit calling back Rahul Dravid as if only Indians are to observe the spririt of Game like Sydney 3Jan2008 biased umpiring test when Saurabh Ganguly was asked to leave pitch one bounce catch by Ricky
