r.ashwin is the most capable spinner after anil kumble. he would have done well with his confusing bowling. even vinay kumar would have done well with his ability to pick up wickets.

this all can work in those rubbish dusty subcontinent pitches.. on flat track you need real pace;
Bikas Mahapatro has rightly commented as " The Indian dream is over.The humiliation is complete. The Indian pride has suffered an irreparable damage. Long live the great Indian expectation."
It will take now years to regain the pride. STOP IPL and use IPL only to develop talents & new finds for the nation.IPL is damaging professional cricket,where cheer girls get more money that many cheer girls get more money that corporate executives.Let'sot talk of established cricketers,who are looking for quick money leading to fatigue,over-cricket, injuries,glamour,popularity and many many more things..India need to take a clue from West Indies where even a cricketer like Gayle was not selected(waht ever be the reasons).

Looks lIke Fletcher should have captained the team as well, in addition to batting and bowling. :-)
Hope that India crushes England in the next match by a huge margin and reclaim the number 1 spot. I see Sachin scoring a big century and Sehwag scoring a double.

Sehwag was enjoying warm blanket in Delhi well looked after her wife; what was a need to rush him here.. he was never a good test player outside the subcontinent.
A team with half the members who are injured and were returning without any match practice to demonstrate they are fit for the series are thrashed beyond recognition by an English team which made their home work well. Zaheer, Sehwag, Gambhir, Sreesanth, Harbhajan, Yuvraj,Tendulkar were reselected without evaluating whether they are match fit after playing in cricket matches, too few practice matches and the practice of selecting favourites of selectors while good fast bowlers like Aron, Arvind, Yadav are standing outside while slow medium pace bowlers like Praveen, Munaf, Singh were selected ignoring their pace. Harbhajan was selected when there is other good bowlers like Iqbal are standing outside. No wonder that India lost badly...

Aron, Arvind, Yadav are T20 bowlers not suitable for test. Praveen has shown his mettle by baging a rich haul this series.
Why no sachin supporters(including gavaskar and shashtri) are seen here,they must be disappointed that he didnt got his 100th ton,fail to understand that no one criticise his batting,being a senior most batsman who is playing for two decades,is he above criticism.

India have rightly been shown their place. They were un-necessarily taking airs and assuming themselves to be the bet team.. Not only the bubble has been burst but also their pride had taken a fall.
Sangkkara was right. India never deserved to be the No.1 team in the world. It was the flawed point system that elevated India to NO.1. Going by their standards of bowling and fielding India at best is a good school team. Even batting, the pride of India, took a hit and deserted Indian batsman.
