England in India Test Series (1992/93) First Test at Eden Gardens, Calcutta India won by 8 wickets (India 371 and 82/2; England 163 and 286 f/o).
Second Test at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Madras India won by an innings and 22 runs (India 560/6d; England 286 and 252 f/o)
Third Test at Wankhede Stadium, Bombay India won by an innings and 15 runs (England 347 and 229; India 591)
So we whitewashed them 3-0 with two innings defeats and two follow-ons. I'm sure if the series was extended, we could have went on to make it 4-0, 5-0 or 6-0.
Remember that English team had seasoned cricketers like Gooch, Stewart, Gatting, Smith, etc just like how we have Sachin, Dravid, Laxman in our current team. Problem is they all had passed their prime. Please understand this. And to add, it becomes another problem if you have to play outside home against a stronger team.
You know people like Kambli made merry in that tour. So don't be too surprised at English batsmen scoring runs now. Their actual essence will be soon found out in the coming days. Just one such instance where positive flows heavily and negative sinks deeply.
these guys simply went to enjoy a good picnic in England. they don't have a proper plan for english team in english conditions. on the contrary the english team not only have a good strategy for the so called no 1 test team, but also they have implemented it very well. this is what is the difference between the two teams.

I feel Team india is realizing the facts and now chances are double they will perform better in second innings and next test and could salvage a draw in current test. GOD bless team INDIA

If you double the pay of the team members then there could be a better result. This match is gone from India in the first day.

DRAW seems real tough. 3 days to go in test. India will have to bat 2 days fully for any chances of a DRAW

Where r u ? where is ur horde of fans who swear by you ? of what use is this Ratna if he cant stand up for Bharat when it requires him the most ? Pls give Bharat Ratna and all other awards and belittle the Awards...
