Totally agree dude- Kumble and RD were the two players who never received the recognition they deserved for their contributions. Same is the story with JavagalSrinath

He is right buddy, a nut like Shrikant is selection committee chairman anything can happen. They selected him just because he, Sachin and probably Sevag none other Indian batsmen can dare England pace attack. To save their skin they selected Dravid.

Shocking on Dravid's Retairment from ODI & T20s
by dusmanta Ojha on Aug 07, 2011 11:51 AM  | Hide replies

In fact it is the right time and wise decision taken by Dravid about retairment from ODI and T 20s. But sad that we will miss the great batsman in ODI & T20. In the other side some batsman are secured thier place in the team instead of continuous bad performance. Hopefully he will say bye bye to ODI and T20 with a good knock in the Engaland seris.

Dravid retiring from ODIs and T20s

Dravid has made the right decision. He does not need a certificate from anybody that he is a great batsman and has enough to show as track record. Sad that we will miss a great batsman and much greater soul. India has the uncanny knack of losing great performers by sidelining some players for a few bad knocks and persisting with some players for seasons even in spite of continuous bad performance. As Harsha Bogle put in The Hindu:'Dravid can be even a home minister for India but cannot the Chief Minister of Karnataka. He does not have the "qualifications" for that'.
