Dravid has taken a excellent decision,he was dropped in 2009 and was never after that even considered for selection. Now when the selectors realises that he is their best bet in the current conditions they pick him up out of the blue .Atleast Dravid has the decency not to immediately retire but he is doing so after the series ,he is too great a cricketer to be treated the way he was in the past to be unceremonously dropped,Dravid,s retirement decision is exactly due to that fact

Hope BCCI will understand, they had ridiculed the cricketing life of Sourav Ganguly, and doing tamasha with Dravid.Bunch of jockers lighting up the big organisation called BCCI and effective be called Board of Jockers Controlling Cricket in India.

and there are 2 persons namely Sunny and Ravi who would not say anything about BCCI because they need 3.6 cr rupees each year to feed their stomach!!
PONTING SAID, SACHIN AND DRAVID INSPIRATION FOR MANY CRICKETERS LARA SAID SACHIN IS WORLD NO.1 BEST PLAYER DRAVID SAID - SACHIN IS MY INSPIRATION MANY GREAT EX-PLAYERS SAID SACHIN IS GREATER THAN BRADMAN BUT SOME FOOLS ALWAYS CRY AT SACHIN BLINDLY.
he should have made himself unavailable for it. it is a sure loss for india as he is playing in this one day series anyways good that he is gone at least for odi completely he should not stick to test matches, once he goes, we will see india winning lot more test matches with youngsters getting more opportunities and experience playing on tough pitches
I mean selectors who are stooges of BCCI which is a politicians body to make money just like kalmandi who used IOC &CWG for making 1000s of croes politicians like Pawar is doing it and businessmen like jagmohan Dalmia did it.
IPL is a casino cricket and would lead to complete destruction of sports like test cricket!!
I feel dravid has done the right thing. I wish though he would play the first ODI only and then retire from ODI's altogether.
This will be a slap on the face of selectors and also provide youngsters more opportunity to gain experience needed on seaming and bouncing wickets. This is better for the development of indian cricket and its future.
There are no second thoughts on rahul's credibility. but you must understand
1. Rahul was never considered a one day specialist. 2. In tests the reason india started winning was because viru and gambhir started giving 4.75 runrate up from day one. 3. Rahul always was very slow in his runrate hence he was not a speacialist.
With all due respect rahul's inclusion in England serise for ODI and t20 is not a good idea. This is not a performance based inclusion. There are youngsters waiting in que.
We surely respect rahul's contribution to indian cricket and wish him respectful exit.

1. "one day specialist" is a tag used especially for batsmen who thrive in ODIs but because of lack of technique/temperament fail to do well in tests. e.g: Michael Bevan, Cameron White, Kieron Pollard, Shahid Afridi, Yuvraj Singh etc. So, its not a badge of honour. Rather its a label that says you are not technically competent enough to play tests.
2. "India started winning because Viru and Gambhir started giving 4.75 runrate from day one"-really ? If I look at India's major away test wins - Kandy 2001, Trinidad 2002, Headingley 2002, Adelaide 2003, Kingston 2006, Johannesburg 2006, Trent Bridge 2007, Perth 2008, Hamilton 2009, Durban 2010 and Kignston 2011 - Sehwag and Gambhir hardly played any role in all these wins. Infact only significant away match which we won because of Sehwag was in Multan 2005. Except for test matches played in India (and to some extent in SriLanka) runrate hardly matters.
3. Unless you play on a 400 run wicket, you'll need a batsman who'd stick around and provide stability. Thats what Kallis does for South Africa, Chanderpaul does for England, Mahla does for Sri Lanka, Younis Khan used to do for Pakistan and Damien Martyn used to do for Australia. And all of them have very comparable strike rates.

TMKC.. english people stand up for every one who performs, Not just for useless tendulkar. Cricket will not come to an end if tendulkar dies. no one is indispensable..
