the best team wins
by andheremeinujjala on Aug 05, 2011 12:21 PM

nothing wrong if you lose to a good team. team selectors have to bring in fresh feet. the players are getting old. so before they retire the replacement should be there. no icon is bigger than the nation.

Remember this person has said much before the start of this series " OUR BOWLERS SHOULD DO WELL IF WE WANT A POSITIVE RESULT IN ENGLAND". Some persons in the board have treatd this statement very sill. Now you can see the REAL FACT.

Only three batsmen will not suffice for withstanding any challenge outside the country.

Edbangston is going to be pacy track. Hence you have to play all your fast bowlers. My selection of fast bowlers will be Ishant, Zaheer, Sree and Munaf. Praveen can bowl swingers when there is only cloud cover or new cherry red ball and we have seen him in the last test match the English Batsmen plundered him in all parts of the ground when there was no juice in the pitch.

Pravin kumar is a good swinger of the ball. Instead of two spinners, he should be included.

"Team India's younger lot must show more zeal"

This is a wrong title or statment: Whenever there is series loss or bad performance , the commentators or journalists will target younger guys in the team, and excuse senior players like sachin.. Infact harsh bogle was taking much on sachin 100th ton rather than talking on losing the match.. Can,t remember more than one or two match saving innings by sachin , sachin does not score runs when team needed or when it is required e.g World Cup Finals .. he has learn a lot from young players like virat ,guatham & raina or may be he should quit cricket..

true, most of the time the young guys are made the scapegoat when india does badly. these commentators and experts should realise that the younger players need exposure then only they can do better. also it is not as if they have done badly. many times they have performed better than their seniors. the odi and T20 world cup win was soley due the younger players also if we are no. 1 in tests the younger lot like ishant, sreesanth, mishra, ozha, raina, gambhir, dhoni etc. are responsible in no less measure.

We are a good team but definitely not a dominating one.

We are No. 1 only if we play matches in Indian soil on flat tracks. That too is not guaranteed as we have been thrashed by some quality teams. When it comes to overseas we are probably No.10!!

Agree..but what about the Other countries when they are playing against us in India...Likes of Aus, SA or Now England..in last few years the story is almost same.. We can't easily win there, and they can't win against us here...so the fact is that, they are more comfortable & strong in their areas & bouncy tracks, while we are strongest in our areas, our spinning tracks..so what u wanna say?

Everybody is talking about winning on bouncy pitches..Does only winning on hard bouncy pitches matters..why only those batsman who plays bouncers well are but can't play the turning bolls are good batsmans..and those who plays spin well and struggles against bouncers are not good batsmans..Why winning on bouncy pitches is real winning and winning on turning tracks is not that much important victory..?
