With all respect to Dhoni's achievement over the past 3 years as captain, I strongly feel he's UNFIT to play test cricket. In order to qualify for India in a test match one should be at least BEST in 1 of the 3 disciplines: batting, bowling, wicketkeeping/fielding. Dhoni is not good in any of them. He neither bats well, neither keeps well and bowls CRAP when he does. How can this guy be allowed to suit up for India in a test ? this stupidity happens ONLY in India. Does that mean Indian selectors are stupid - YES THEY ARE !! no surprises cause I know how much of a lunatic Srikkanth was when he played for India. The guy was a maniac with a volatile temper. I guess he has taken that attitude along with his career in team selection. Dhoni has to sacked IMMEDIATELY following the England tour and replaced by Gambir as skipper. Dhoni can still be captain of the ODI and T20 sides. The selectors should also remove Dhoni as a wicketkeeper in tests and allow Saha or Parthiv to play. I know this is harsh on Dhoni but keeping in view India's long term future this is the way to go.
Already Mukund is a big flop. What's the point playing him in this match. Seems Srikanth doesn;t want to give opportunities to players like Rahane, Pujara, A Rayudu, Rao or M Pandey or Dhawan. He keeps on giving chances to Mukund, Vijay, Raina, Kohli in tests eventhough they are not quality test players. The other players who are getting too many opportunties is A Mishra and Saha who are not quality players. Not sure why Srikanth is selecting these junk players. is it because he wants to select junk tamil nadu players. It is like one junk player from Tamil nadu and one junk player for other regions. Instead of lot of opportunities to Mukund, Vijay, Raina, Kohli etc it is better to give these chances to other deserving players. Otherwise india is going to lose the matches. No need to blame Dhoni. What can he do if he gets junk

Ofcourse. He lost the interest wtih way team is getting selected. What will you do if Srikanth is selecting only Tamil Players due to Tamil feelings?

What do you think ur so called players (Rahane, Pujara, A Rayudu, Rao,M Pandey or Dhawan)will hit centuries on their debut. pls give Mukund a break.... live him alone he first call avg show's how good a player he is....so stop ur bullshit and see how he performs in future matches.. i can bet he will have a great future in Indian test team.

Sweety - What break you need. Allow Mukund to play another 100 matches to see whether he can a century? Tell me one thing. Why Tamil Nadu players only need opportunities? Why Pujara, Rayudu, Rahane or Dhawan are not getting the opportunities. How many Tamil Nadu players were successful. None. Vijay, Badri, karthik, Mukund got tons of opportunities. It is killing the balance of the team. Now everyone knows the selection to the indian team. It is not the merit. It is either Tamil Nadu or Chennai IPL team

His HS of 72 was made in Bangalore where Murali Vijay also scored 139. While Mukund is yet to play a home test. We all know that we indians are lions when only in our den.

why not R. Ashwin and R. Sharma are not playing, this are the players which have done very well almost best players at present which can play test cricket as well as one day and t20 too. God knows why Indian team depends on luck and not good players.
Its understandable why Dravid was given rest. But what the hell has Sachin done to be rested from the match?? He was rested from the WI series, and performed badly in all innings except one - that too when India were in a hopeless situation. A test match is not something which can be used - as that loud mouthed shnook Ravi Shastri barks - "to get into the groove"...

Guys come on I think you something is wrong with you, Sachin is an automatic choice ( last inning he has scored 54 runs)we want to see who fits in opening and no 6 position, as far as Sachin goes he do not have to prove his credentials to find a place ..... he will be part of India team till the time he is willing to play cricket.

Credentials?! Rubbish! This is the one of the stupidest things I've ever read. Why should a passionate cricket fan NOT comment? If us fans are the ones paying their hard earned money to watch cricket on TV and in the stadia, of course we have the right to dissect and criticise a player's performance. Whom are they playing for if not for the fans?! What is sport if not a form of entertainment? Why does every player, ex-cricketer and cricket board bemoan the lack of spectators in grounds for test matches if cricket is not meant for everybody? If players do not want to be criticised, they're welcome to quit playing. And you, just another critic, seem clueless and should refrain from writing such tripe. I expect the 'best' batsman of the #1 team to perform in a marquee contest. Where's the error in that?
