Seems like a planted story
by bluesshaman on Aug 02, 2011 01:57 PM

I do not buy this. Who does this kind of thing? Grabbing credit, even if it is through indirect means? This story seems a PR stunt and there's something fishy here. I doubt this is Sachin himself grabbing credit, but, surely someone's going to great lengths on his behalf to glorify him. There's definitely something amiss about this article.

these sachin haters..not a word of what they say makes any sense 1) dravid and laxman better than sachin - have u compared their test match averages
2) sachin has failed - is making a 50 failure, and even if he does, what the hell, he is human, and r u saying raina and yuvraj ae better playes, ....what a joke
3) sachin doesnt have technique - did u see how dhoni , raina and yuvi got out. they played ugly shots, sachin never does that
4)we all must be proud that sachin plays for india, and he is the greatest player of all time, for further info check statsguru on cricinfo
5) and when u all say something, please back it up

SACHIN IS STATS ONLY NOT TEAM WINNING AND TEAM WORK, WE DO NOT SAY BAD PLAYER, YUVRAJ IS VERY TALENTED, BUT HE IS VOLATILE IN NATURE SO CAN NOT KEEP COOL IN BATTING

STILL INDIAN TEAM DEPENDS ON SACHIN
by koni on Aug 02, 2011 01:33 PM  | Hide replies

SACHIN FAILED IN 2 TESTS, INDIA LOST THE MATCH. THE GREAT DRAVID 2 CENTURIES WASTED. WHEN TEAM IN REALLY PRESSURE AND NEEDS RUNS, NO ONE PERFORMED EXCEPT SACHIN. SACHIN MADE ATLEAST 5O RUNS. ITS ONCE AGAIN PROVED THAT WITOUT SACHIN CONTRIBUTION, INDIA REALLY HARD TO WIN THE MATCHES. DHONI BIG FOOL AND WASTE CAPTAIN IN PARITCULARLY TESTS. WINNING THE TOOS AND CHOOSE FIELDING. BIG MISTAKE WAS THAT.

Tendulkar was the voice in the dressing room that got Bell reinst
by mang on Aug 02, 2011 01:25 PM  | Hide replies

No.. it was not Tendulkar's voice.. It was the noise of his fart. But Sunil Gavaskar was there and by his shrewd thinking and presence of mind, Gavaskar ensured that every one heard it as a voice of Tendulkar.

Sachin lobby
by shashikant agarwal on Aug 02, 2011 01:24 PM  | Hide replies

It is amazing as to how his lobby tries to save him all the time from adverse performance. The champion batsman with so much hype by paid media has failed to do any worthwhile contribution in series & may go down with the team without any fight in remainder of the matches. It is breathtaking to listen his Chamchas (Bhogle the bore,Shastri a badbola & sunny the funny) on star Cricket applauding every failure of his as a classic example for youngsters on how to get LBW without offering a shot or play away swinger without coming in line & getting bowled umpteenth time on incoming delivery.

Spot on about Ravi Shastri and Gavaskar. :) They get real giddy when Tendulkar bats. No objectivity whatsoever. These sycophants don't realise they cause more harm than good. But, some of tendulkar's backfoot cover drives in this match were awesome. Sublime stroke play. The sheer elegance!

Sour mixture
by Krishnakumar Narayanan on Aug 02, 2011 01:17 PM

Adding spirit to law will yield only sour mixture. Spirit of the game shall not conflict with laws of the game. The whole incident gave an impression of inherent weakness. Did they think that applause for the spirit will silence jeers on the massive defeat? Sri Lanka played much better only a few weeks ago against the same English team.

is this news to make up

for Sachin's failure in this series? Normally it's something like he played with fever or tennis elbow etc. There are more decent cricketers like Dravid, Kumble, Laxman etc. Let the media give some news on these great cricketers as well.

Sachin hype
by Raju on Aug 02, 2011 01:11 PM  | Hide replies

Even if Tendulkar farts, it would be hailed as the greatest fart in the history of the world. This unnecessary hype surrounding him is affecting his cricket and Indian team also. All this rubbish about 99 centuries is taking away the focus from cricket and on records.
It shows the mindset of Indian people who always feel proud of individual glory rather than team achievement. Shame on media to hype up everything.

U should Appreciate his great gesture...his greatness...

What if he is not scoring rungs...

What if he is getting out again and again...

What if he is scoring less than bhajji...

But he is god ... His 100th 100 is much more imporant that Country's win...

We should salute him for this kind of gesture...

Getting out with low score, because pitch has got problem... But he is great...
