This author failed to mention budding young cricketers. we may not have another Sachin or Dravid but we certainly have a lot of match winners. Kohli, Raina, Gautam--just to name a few

I totally agree with you, author is focussing only on cricketers who might retire soon. What about youngsters who are flourishing and where is the positive not about IPL displaying too many capable youngsters.

You have to seperate Tests from ODIs because Tests matches require staying power as compared to ODIs. Raina and Kohli are better ODI talent.

Yuvraj will re-emerge as a Tests allrounder in the sub-continent only. He can support the spinners in Indian conditions in tests and could be a wicket-taker on a day 5 pitch. This will give the spinners a break in India

they are match winners when the ball is below knee. put them on hard, they will tame. u will search for Laxman or even Dravid. remember the last WI series. there are examples galore.

Let them play under testing conditions. Playing on a wicket where balls stay below knee doesn't prove them. This is why IPL looks bringing up scores of talent. Put them on a hard wicket you will find none, not even Sachin. Just Laxman and Laxman India have to rely on and he is ignored on the plea of poor fielding.

he probably comes from a background where such niceties are never taught. He play his cricket hard & enjoys the good things in life. The lack of sensitivity towards loosing captain was felt by all but him.He will learn it hard way as wheel turns full circle

What will he say. There is no point in showering false praise. I felt he was asked questions about Indian performance and he answered them well. Some people cannot finding faults with others.

as you rightly indicate, its more about growing environment rather than arrogance.....quite a few boys are from rurals and dont have the same mannerisms as the suave urban lot.....but its ok....no harm done, things will change.....grooming is required in this field as well.....like Sehwag picked up.......quite impressive

Good article overall.. only thing is trying to put all the things in first article itself... what will you write next? Jst kidding... :)
However, I don't aggree that the future looks dark... as it is always dark... you never know who will come tomorrow and make it big... Like Sachine came when it was looking dark after Gavaskara and others...? As long as the great game of Cricket continues there will be stars.
