Sachin never said he wants Bharat Ratna. Whether you give him or not he is true gem of India. Bharat ratna has already lost his value when it was given to politicians. At least giving it to people like Sachin will increase it value a bit

What Geeta Bapat said is exactly corret!!! Sachin will never talk about any Award (Even he has reject an Hon.DLit from many Universities) He is a TRUE Indian and Sportsman

i agree with you that there are more deserving people. But our government won't bother to search them. The classing example is Amartya Sen. He got noble first. My point is at least better to give that to Sachin rather than 'Rahul Gandhi' or 'Chidambaram'. They are fooling our nation. Sachin is at least honest with his game.
This crickter achievement has not changed life of any one in terms growth of the country, growth of the poor indians, or any foundation for Indian growing children, dying old people,country's defence or name anyrhing. I do not understand Bharat Rathna for a sports person for what>>>>>>? Cricket also not national game of our country. We have won world cup already before and nothing new. We have not won so far only becoz politics within the BCCI and regionalism bias and there was no unity. It is nothing that great achievement. Every sports has to e treated as an achievement. Why Vishwanathan Anand is not in the list. Only highest sports award only Sachin deserves. This sports has other side attached with huge money and bettings behind. Therefore this sports cannot be considered for such an highest Indian award. As an individual Sachin has shown individual scores total but his contribution towards winning a match for the country were meagre in numbers. Even he had long time for 2 years his performance was so poor if any other cricketer would have asked to retire and many have retired. Sachin was favoured to conitnue. There is again biased by Mumbai lobby. Majority is not in favour to this highest honour. It is my and sevreal peoples opinion only and nothing against Sachin. He is a great player no doubt, honour suitably but not BHARAT RATHNA. Do not degared the Bharath Rathna. Please think of and look into Sir M V

Each and everyone who fought for our country should be given it....after all sports people take only very small risk whereas army people take high risk to protect our bharat mata....
Dhanraj Should recomend DhyanChand for BharatRatna.DhyanChand has Earn 3 Olympic Gold for India which is certainly bigger than Sachin's achievement.Very Few Cricket lovers Know about DhyanChand but Govt.Of India Knows him. Olympic Gold BY ALL MEANS is Bigger than Modest Cricket World Cup. Did Dr Rajendra Prasad endorsed Pesti Cola companies? Did Dr Rajendra Prasad made 1000 Crores from endorsing product of junk consumer companies and fraud banks? Did Dr Rajendra Prasad evade crores of tax on his luxury car?
