Afridi made a fool of himself by issuing many statements and critising India. He later realised the folly of putting his foot in his mouth. He is not a dimplomat but an ordinary Pathan to watch what he says. But as Pak captain,he has a responsibility to be careful with his words. First he said good words about India. Then due to the pressure of the Mullahs,he critised India. One must realise that his life is also in danger in Pakistan.Under pressure, the unsophesticated guy made some strong remarks against India and Indians. Now better sense has prevailed and he has retracted his statements. I think we Indians should end this war of words. After all we have won the cup.
The Pakistani cricketers are not terrorists and the large section of good society there is also undergoing the pain of terrorism. Let us resume criketing ties with Pakistan as said by our leaders at least in neutral venues. Some of the Pak players could have also played in IPL.

your right kumar, sports should not be mixed with politics. even sports representitives should not talk about politics at any cost.

I fail to understand why to give so much ear into what Afridi said. We all know, these Pakis show warm relations at times and ill-speak at other times. These are off course to satisfy some mass within Pakistan who enjoy listening such things. Moreover, just speaking bad about us doesn't really make us bad. But with overreaction, we are wasting our time.

Why we are giving so much importance for the statement made, to an illiterate person like Afridi! Is he worth needing that hype?
Afridi is somesalting like a monkey. he made very clear and direct remarks and now is saying he has been quoted out of context. If you certain views about India and Indian media and had the guts to go on air, why not stand by your comments. By reversing your stand, you are simply making a fool of yourself.
