Cricket is a conspiracy to keep people engaged
by pradeep agarwal on Apr 06, 2011 10:44 PM  | Hide replies

The cricket mad Indian public is fooled by governments with support from BCCI to keep them engaged & gloss over scams hounding the most corrupt government to have ruled nation. The hype created for so called World cup of a game played in less than 20 out of 187 nations is to divert the attention from pressing problems. This game is root cause of absenteeism & low productivity in the nation & also responsible for the poor state of other more deserving sports persons who have won laurels in sports or games played globally.

well said mr.pradeep....it was actually a hype created by our media to divert attention from significant problems that need to be addressed..our tv news channels were hardly concerned about national and international happenings during last 2 months...people have even forgot that world's worst natural calamity had hit japan just 20 days back..

True, they r also cricketers. But with lot of FIXING flexibility. They r better actors on field than crickters. Forget abt pakistan and concentrate on ipl. If I am the ICC chief I would ban them from all forms of cricket.

Is there nothing in life except cricket?
by Di Pi on Apr 06, 2011 10:01 PM  | Hide replies

Cricket is a bad drug. People waste their time and money on this useless game. Watch national geographic, Discovery, listen to and learn good music, save the environment, or do something creative and useful. Filmstars buying boys- looks like some sort of prostitution.

Who are you to give advice to the whole nation about what is right and what is wrong??
And who told you that discovery channel is committed towards saving planet EARTH?? What will children learn by watching programes like FUTURE WEAPONS??
You may be enjoying sitting in AC rooms and giving advice to all about the environment..... See the condition of the poor and atleast because of these matches they use to forget their problems and smile for a while.... Just look at your face and think what you did in the past before giving these silly advices.

ohhh no,dont even say that.Excess of anything eats up your head.SO I would say, watch cricket for entertainment.Sports are a necessity. They refresh our minds.
But IPL is not needed at all.At the most,I think that three or more teams must play on the same day and then satellite rights must be sold just like NBA or NHL.Or better, season tickets must be sold.

IPL is played for 50 days, and all players are tired for the rest of the season. So let the matches finish up by 20 days and players get enough rest

amir khan is an exception. he participates in social causes. tendulkar is also an exception

Why a team for Pune - why not Patna?
by NashikMarathi on Apr 06, 2011 09:54 PM

I mean Nitish is working wonders in Bihar and UP is UP.

Why two teams in Maharashtra instead of the golden, hardworking UP/Bihar with the demigod Nitish in charge?
