sachin is born to set records and not to become as mach winner. he is great player,god of cricket but he is not a match winner.Nations win was secondary for him always to his centuries
i live in USA but my heart cries for the poor pple back in india ...... wt a shame, media is glorifying the cricketers but doesnt say anything abt baba amte, medha patkar, kiran bedi etc who r doing the real hard work for india

Actually the media does inform everyone about Baba Amte and Medha Patkar, or else you wouldn't know these names in the first place.
i live in USA ...... but i m so humble n down to earth bcoz of my parents' sanskars ........ whenever i visit india, i donate DOLLARS to poor beggar indians n gigts to poor indian neighbours ..... i think for the poor n my heart cries for my motherland ....... how many cricketers can do wt i do for the poor beggar indians ?

Even answering you is a disgrace. Maybe have thought about the fact that maybe just maybe these cricketers are helping people but not talking it on a message board about Gary Kirsten? See I am not fan of cricket being so popular, I am from Chennai and I live in the usa too. But let me tell you something sports is better entertainment than some of the movies that comes out and tv shows.
Its something to do, people go out and play and it helps people's body and mind regardless its cricket. And by the way giving dollars to beggars won't help they need to convert the money and if they are beggars what kinda identification do they have? Oh wait are making them do illegal transaction? Well if the Reserve Bank reads about this you know you could goto jail and ofcourse there is no Dosa in jail.
In the country full of despair, corruption,and lawlessness, cricket serve as a way-out to overcome the frustration out like what a man wishes to do when he has hunger for s*x.
Like some make money out of p*rn, similarly some make money out of selling cricket to hysterically mad country of billions.

exactly. Soccer does same thing to european countries. Europe is poor and so they divert their mind to soccer.

@Mahesh, Agreed completely with you. But how many countries play cricket and how many play football. They can cheer and take pride in doing good in other games also: Olympics is a testimony to that. Can we do the same. and do they shower money to their players like this.
and aren't we helpless in over-throwing out our current political system. Perhaps if the same passion what it is for cricket had there been to bring a good system for the betterment of everybody, then the life would have been so pleasant.
Kudos to Gary Kirsten ....It is because of his n his contribution that our BOYS rose to become MEN like the Great Kapil Dev's men.
Indian Govt. should honor Gary by awarding him the CITIZENSHIP n Guru Dronacharya Award to hail is contribution. And if possible he should be made a Goodwill Ambassador also.

Those are cheap people anyway. All they love is making a bad remarks about some successful person that they can not achive.
Sachin, Gavaskar, Kapil, Ravi Shastri are anti-social. Without voluntarily retiring they've denied/deprived opportunities to young Muslims/Christians/Anglo-Indians/Sikhs/BC/SC/ST cricket players.
Sachin is also an anti-national because he evaded customs duty and imported Ferrari car.

When India become test no.1, sachin was the first person to give entire credit to Gary & support staff & not usless non performing captain dhoni. Now people know why sachin is not only the best cricketer in world but also most fair who always talks honestly.
