Cricket Players and Film Stars
by Uttamkumar on Apr 03, 2011 05:14 PM  | Hide replies

Cricket players and film stars are deserved to get the Bharat ratna title becuase they entertain the public making drama. they are all nurished peoperly as if they are driving the country and giving the hand to mouth to the run stove of every poor people.
Has anybody ever thought that how much money being spent on the kashmir Border to protect the people of kashmir and pakistan borber in that area every day. just to protect them by the force and machineries like security in the Housing society sipahi. If that much of money given to the poor people who has no shelter and no food for two times a day and have no school for the children and even so many poor ladies goes to work every morning for the hand to mouth keeping thier two months old baby with out any baby food and milk.
Therfoere, my friends in this country we can not expect anything except burning heart.
Rich will be richer and poor will be lost their everything. why not poor people be shooted out saying that --- hey, poor people you have no rights to live in this country.
can our cricketer make some system to creat a charity cricket match after every series of cricket match to help the poor honestly.

India shines in Base Ball Cricket

Let India shut every thing, office, factory, business, trade schools and colleges, universities except cricket. Our children will only play cricket so they have a promise of a a future for croes of rupees. Of course there will be models with promises to run naked when the team India will win.

Models can run naked anytime - need not be a cricket match or football match.

it is a shame rediff has published "realhindu's" disgusting message. It only shows his sick mentality. Zaheer is one of the best bowelers in the world and Munaf the most economical. fortunately our team is untied and secular. sure this scum (realhindu) is a frustrated gay and sissy who spends his time with the village women gossiping all day and nigh and is incapable of any action between the sheets.

How much did kargil war Martyrs get?

Although no monetary compensation is enough for kargil and other war martyrs, what do their family get? Certainly much less attention than cricketers. Anyway, congratulations to India for WC 2011.

Foolish question..Kargil was an created one...it was due to the military intelligence(MI) department failure alone..

The soldiers who lost their lives in defending the nation have an choice either to quit or go forwards to his call of duty..

Game is different from War..Players are different from soldiers..

Players are not Gladiators..kindly understand this..

emotion is good but getting sentimental is foolish..do not compare an sport with an war..
our soldiers are not fighting for Trophy!!they simply are doing their duty..

I am not foolish to compare war with sports it is a pity that cricketers are given too much importance in way of monetary wastage, Dhoni has signed contracts over 200 crores rs recently what difference will it make to him? He should undoubtedly be recognised by national/state awards, but not by wasting public money at will, IT HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA. It is ridiculous.

very pathetic to know that Mrs Sheela Dixit is giving 2 crores each to the team members. Such is the glamour of the game. The average Indian is just another worm. Be it a soldier, doctor engineer or any one who contribute as much as a sportsman. but their contribution is not appreciated or recognized by the govt or the media. We are a cricket crazy nation. Yes we agree that the game is enjoyed by one and all but to pamper the players and ignoring the real heroes, the martyrs is not in good taste. The old lady should have thought of this. Just to please her masters she has done it.

What is this Zulfikar? Don't you know that Army, Navy, Air Force, BSF, Police etc in a country like India are meant only for glorifying in newsprint or word of mouth & being idolised after making them Martyrs (I mean sacrificed by Politicians as pawns in their political/ vote-bank conspiracies. Or then as a matter of fact, being harrased by political top brass just to show-off their supremacy? Understand this basic fact first & you'll never ask such childish questions again.

I clearly remember some days ago a Kangress Political Bigwig in UP slapping a poor security guard on camera & then jailing him on false reasons just to cover-up his dastardly act.

I agree to the sad state in our country. It is time to stop being childish and condemn such moves, we public can be a force through free electronic media. Whose money is Delhi government giving to these cricketers? It is people's hard earned money through tax. In western countries this would be clearly condemned, from my experience in living in Australia for 6 years. No player in Australia was given any money by GOVERNMENT when it won WC 3 times

1. Mamta Didi has asked for a National Holiday to celebrate India's win.. Is it reqd to get a national holiday when the match is played on a saturday and next day is a holiday ????

2. Does she know how much revenue loss it will be if its declared as a national holiday ???

3.Is there any country which declares a Nartional Holiday after watching the match for entire day ???? Ok, agreed that recently Malaysia declared a national

holiday after it won the football match agnst Indonesia . But a football match is played for 90 minutes and that match was also played in National Games.

Adding to that , is India economically more super to Malaysia ??

4. Why did n't Mamta Didi asked for a National Holiday when Abhinav Bindra won the first individual Gold medal for the country ???

5. Being a woman ,has ever Soniaji/Mamtaji applauded the performance of Mary Kom who is a 5 times world boxing champion ?????

6. How many print/electronic media covered the news that Paes/Bhupathi won the Miami masters tennis on saturday and now they are world no.1 in doubles tennis

????

7. Many people are now demanding Bharat Ratna for Sachin. Agreed, he desrves it if at all it's given for achievement in sports ????
But then why it has not been given Major Dhyanchand yet ?????? What was his fault/crime/lesser achievemnt for not deserving that ????

Sachin had not revolutionalised anything.. cricket was popular before him.. he chose this game as normal indians do.. won 1 world cup that too gifted by dhoni..

8. With this kind of coverage/attention by print/electronic media and the pouring of money , do you think any kid will take a hockey stick in his hand ???

9. Can any one tell me why Hockey is still our national game and why we have not changed it to cricket when so much of attention is for cricket ?????

10. The headline is today's 'Times of India' is that ' India have conquered the world' ....really ???????
How many medals we are winning in Olympics ????
Do we think we have achieved the pinnacle in sports after winning the world cup cricket when cricket is not played by countries like

china,USA,russia, germany and played by only hadful countries ?????
( i'm pretty sure it will take china only 10 years to be the world no.1 in cricket the day they seriously consider it as a sports ).

10. Was it a lesser achievement by Ashish Kumar who won the first idividual medal in gymnastics in Asiad for india , competing with athletes from china, japan, uzbekistan, kazaksthan ?????? But why the media coverage was not the same compared to this world cup celebration ????????

Finally , who are the most beneficiary from this world cup win ???? THE POLITICIANS who are involved in scams...coz they will not be in news for atleast a week

People are enjoying the game. Unfortunately, no other game has the power to attract so many people. And the fact is that most of us dont even know the rules of any other game except cricket. Ask a child and he will tell u the difference between mid off and mid wicket positions but ask a grown up the point system in tennis.... cant tell.
The media can cover only the news which sells. Yes its high time we change our national game to cricket. because in hockey we are no where...now and we are not doing anything to improve our game. (may be except shah rukh khan..in a movie)

Don't blame the popularity of cricket for the demise of other sports.
1) Before the 1983 world cup win, India won the 1975 Hockey World cup and the 1980 Moscow Olympics. Ask yourself, why did the popularity of hockey wane after these years? It is because of corruption and nepotism of officials.

The maximum corruption is in the game of cricket. Agreed. But its still popular. So popular that countries like canada, ireland, netherlands are also attracted to the game. No wonder, we see china and japan or malaysia and thailand ...enter the game and then it might be very interesting. The game has a charisma...and a worldwide following...What is the harm? make the other games as intersting as cricket and see...

mr mishra, no onw can force anyone to like a game. People go for a game which attracts them. Every gully in india is like a small playground for cricket. such is the attraction. Tennis is not affordable by the common people. Football, u need bigger playground and thanks to our greedy builders, we do not have any space for playgrounds. Cricket can be played in the house...a gully not wider than 5 feet. a ordinary bat and a ball. 10 to 15 children can play with the bare minimum material.
