WC-2011 (contd.)
by aurobindo banerjee on Apr 03, 2011 07:09 AM

Football is not a game for which our Z-Categoried VVIPs (ruling elite including the nationalism-wielding opposition) will fly to every corner of the country at great unavoidable cost to the respective exchequers and the glitterati with huge pecuniary stakes will not grace the reserved places in the stadia, but will certainly give the politicians to outreach to the commoners for their respective ruling future (ensured any way by dint of their dynastic roots). Let the great underworld kings start donating a percentage of their wealth and income to the development of football in the subcontinent to really teach the colonial masters of the past that they also CAN.
Let these kind souls tell the leaders of the respective nations to pay heed to the most popular game of the world-the character-building game as per Vivekananda-the leaders will listen. Let money be poured by the underworld king into football (and, if possible, Hockey too)in these countries, there will no doubt be loot again, but at least their will be fear of the hand that gives bread too.

Let India, Pakistan and Bangla Desh vow to bring glory to their common people by giving them an opportunity to bring laurels for their countries in Football and Hockey-without the need for and the compulsion of wearing suits or speaking English and still be proud!

Thirdly, must cricket be only a marcenary career of money-making-playing for money and not simply for love of the game which the colonies learnt as ball boys of their former masters? And, knowing full well that the strings of the huge betting syndicate hails from this very subcontinent, and admitting his mercenary magnanimity for cricket and match fixing by keeping the officials of the game duly taken care of, why can’t his largesse be turned to football too-at least in this subcontinent of great football capabilities of the poor, undernourished and neglected boys from the remote areas in the respective countries, viz., Bangladesh, Pakistan and India, having regard to this very subcontinent’s forgotten but glorious past of eleven barefooted Bengali boys of the undivided India in 1911 when they defeated eleven booted British-Irish-Scottish combination in the noe derelict IFA Shield? Because, since there is no big money, our politicians have no time to devote to this most popular game of the world of any day in any age, though they do play large stakes in the WC and English Club Football games! This game was also taken by the colonies from their masters, but at least this has remained with the poorer section of the society-Solkars, Kaifs and the like have no place in the scheme of today’s cricket, but will always be welcome in the arena of football. This is not a game for which our Z-Categoried VVIPs (ruling elite including the nation

WC 2011-and nostalgic servitude of the Cricket-playing colonial A

This Cricket World Cup 2011 no doubt brings unprecedented laurels to the most faithful of all the British Colonies proud of their colonial past and the happiest member of the Commonwealth pledging allegiance to Her Highness the Queen, but throws up certain pertinent questions/issues worth pndering by the leaders of the concerned nations and their underground cohorts.
First, the HQ of the ICC must immediately be shifted to India, or any other ex-colonies of the British.
Second, why must the language of the World Cricket be English and English alone? Why can't the Indian or the Pakistani or the Sri Lankan or the Bangla Deshi players be proud of speaking in their respective languages-Hindi/Punjabi/Marathi/Gujarati/Haryanvi/Tamil/Telugu/Sri Lankan and, of course, the great national language of Bangla Desh-Bengali? Why must they be shy of speaking in their own toungues even after wresting the pride of place from the hands of their former owners and present head of the Commonwealth? Cricket has borrowed the style and mannerisms of the most popular game of the free nations-football, which prescribes no such language restrictions. Why can't cricket have the courage of conviction of removing this ban on the respective nationa/local languages of the former colonies of the British masters?
Thirdly, must cricket be only a marcenary career of money-making-playing for money and not simply for love of the game which the colonies learnt as ball boys of their former masters? And, kno

TEAM means together everyone wins. thats reason why india won this cup. if many indian understand the value of being team member and not keep dreaming of being hero or boss all the time. india will change. all projects all game the TEAM feelings, i m part of the group and i will do my part. that will make our home ie india beautiful place to live.

One formula from Rajini, as per his famous words in a film "If say once, that is equivalent to my repeating it 100 times."
Thus if he scores 1 run, the umpire should take it as 100 runs. Surely he will win for INDIA. Albeit, NOW WE HAVE WON. CELEBRATE IT WITH A COZY SUNDAY WITH FRIENDS AND THE POOR AROUND YOU.
