Why do you always need a veteran to give way and take their place? Anyone should perform and win the deserved place. Do you have any plans of dying and giving place to ur kid or ur neighbour? Hypocrite.

dude.. how do u reach the finals.. by clearing SF and QF, who was the lynchpin of batting in those matches. check sachin's record in finals and then talk. he has the best avg. amongst all batsmen (barring Viv. Richards) in tournament finals.

He gives confidence to everyone in the dressing room.
No one can replace a tendulkar.Infact I think that Sehwag should be dropped down the order and Sachin should bat with a new comer.Thats the way to go.

Infact I think that Sachin is too good and Should play in the next world cup too.He is a great guy and we just cannot lose him.No one can replace sachin. There is no one like him.

People compare him with lara, well, lara after sachin did and left before sachin.

He is Don bradman,he is a great guy.so dont talk that sachin should be dropped.

Jesus,Gandhi,
VIvekananda,Amitabh,Mandela, these are great people of the world,no one can replace them.

Luckiest was Sunil Valson in 1983-he just sat in the pavalion, did not play a single match...forget WC 1983, he did not play a single ODI for India and still has a world cup title

Vital difference between 2007 & 2011
by Manian Vasudevan on Apr 03, 2011 11:37 PM

At the time cherishing Team India's glorious victory in World Cup 2011, on hearing various appreciative words from almost every Indian Cricket about the Coach Gary Kirsten, I found the answer for India's dismal performance in World Cup 2007 - GREG CHAPPEL.

Gary works silently behind the scene - thinking and acting solely for the successes of Team India, Greg wanted mere publicity by making loud noises - using every possible medias - putting the interests and unity of Team India and specifically the Seniors at risk.

There lies the difference between 2007 & 2011.

Kudos Team India. Kudos Gary

Sachin, Gavaskar, Kapil, Ravi Shastri are anti-social.
Without voluntarily retiring, they've denied/deprived opportunities to young Muslims/Christians/Anglo-Indians/Sikhs/BC/SC/ST cricket players.

What do you mean by this. To which category do you belong. Cricket is one place where your caste or reservation don't matter. Do you even know how to play cricket. i don't think so. You have named some of the great players of our country. So mind it before saying anything about them you fool, mental of the century.

u rabis infected canine BAst..d keep bar.king against SACHIN like a slumdog, it makes no difference to the rest of the world. In fact we need to understand the pain and agony this illegimate child rationalist has had to bear all his life without the identity of his father, so it's obvious that he bar.ks to his heart's content against prominent people to get some much needed attention

I don't think from heart. Only sentimental fools like you think from heart. The truth is that Sachin has shown his back when it mattered most and you idiots forget that. He scores only when the situation is favourable and the media fools you as if when he gets out India lost the match. But the Truth is opposite.

A Sixer then and the sixer of Yest
by Mehernosh Bharucha on Apr 03, 2011 06:25 PM

One image from Sharjah, that ONE SINGLE MEMORY, has haunted India for way too long - that of Javed Miandad hitting Chetan Sharma for a six of the last ball of an innings (I forget what tournament it was !!)

& yesterday, a determined, driven and focussed M S Dhoni FOR ALL TIME TO TIME, buried that memory deep deep into the ground, nay into oblivion, with his courageous batting with Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh and with the SIX that gave India the WORLD CUP, 28 yrs after it had been first won.

& as the TV screens showed us, how keenly Dhoni's eyes followed the trajectory of that ball that he sent sailing into the night, to victory.

So, it;s time to say now : Javed Miandad, what HAD he done ?
