joker dhoni....
by sudhir sood on Sep 30, 2010 07:53 PM  | Hide replies

first this joker says he does not believe in 'strategies' and in the next breath he says it all depends on what we 'plan'.one can understand his limitations since he has repeatedly failed to graduate. just a lucky person to be made captain when the side is a good one.

Dhoni would maximum remain indian captain till the end of the next WC. And after one more first round exit, the bcci will think, that they had enough of him. And for them, WC's are not that important!!! bcoz they know that, still there will be fools who will be following cricket come whatever. In India, lack of employed people are less than 5%, so the rest needs something for time pass and cricket is the remedy for that

No he will captain till he break Sourav Ganguly's captaincy record in tests. The reason he made captain is to erase Ganguly's captaincy records. The cricket fraternity in Mumbai is ugly, biased and jealous. They believe Indian cricket means Mumbai cricket. They cannot stand somebody from outside to come into fore. Same happened with Kapil. They tainted his name in the name of match fixing. But the real match fixers are mumbai cricketers. So Dhoni will continue till he break Ganguly's captaincy records.

Because he is chamcha of current BCCI regime and some of mumbai ex cricketers. They didn't find anybody who are against Ganguly. All his seniors are staunch Ganguly supporters (Bhajji, Yuvi, Viru, Gautam, Zaheer, Ashish,VVS).

MI bowling attack and Indian bowling attack- A comparison
by Rajan S on Sep 30, 2010 07:13 PM  | Hide replies

MI attack and Indian attack have 2 things in common ie Zaheer and Bhajji. The result is that, MI conceded more than 180 runs in almost all the matches they played in the just concluded CL.Harbhajan is an utter waste when u consider his bowling, but i believe, Zaheer is a better bet in test matches but not in ODI's or T20's. But in test matches, if he is fit, then he can take some important wickets at the start of the innings and also when the bowl starts to reverse swing late in the day. But one thing interesting is that, he is not always fit except when playing for MI. You would have noticed it, that before the IPL or the CL, he takes rest, sighting that he is injured. I can't comment on the exact status of his injuries, but i very much doubt, that he considers Mumbai Indians more important than playing for India. Obviously, playing for MI fills his pockets more than playing for the country

Zaheer has to give away in ODIs..we need to preserve him for tests..at 33-34 he is not getting any younger..and Harbhajan unfortunately seems to be on the decline because spinners tend to mature with age and this is the time he should have ideally accelerated his growth as a top-class bowler

If he is on the decline, then he should be removed. When we pick a team for the country, emotional views does not matter. Its the country's image, that we should preserve, not od any individual

Zaheer forget hsi bowling..cant hold on to easy catches..Harbhajan..aggressive in everything except taking wickets..

these guys should be replaced by Vinay and ashwin.

Whatever Dhoni say,his bowlers doesn't hav the talent to respond
by Rajan S on Sep 30, 2010 06:53 PM  | Hide replies

If Australia bats first, then we will once again see the real stuff from our bowlers. The aussies will end the first day on something like 320/2 . That wont be because, it is a flat wicket on the first day or whatever. It is because our bowling attack is pathetic and has been so, for over the years. Unless we accept that, we won't be a good team. If u all have listened to the press conferences or post match presentatons from dhoni, never has he accepted the fact that the indian bowling is poor. If this atitude continues then, we as a team, will continue to be a laughing stock when we play in big knock out tournaments, like the WC, Champions Trophy etc

yes it seems that is due to our poor bowling attack (kumble never played any test match under captaincy of dhoni) that dhoni has led india to 10 wins out of 16 tests.

if they swallow our bowlers, then india will be saved from them, especially bhajji, whom we can't otherwise be expected that he will be axed some day, though he has been a non performer, over the years

I think trying Praveen kumar out could be a good one - he swings both ways beautifully & could be a handful in the initial 15 overs or so.. if he gets us 2-3 wickets, nothing like it..seems to be in Manoj Prabhakar mould

But in indian conditions that initial movement does not last long and test matches are played for 5 days not 5 hours. Praveen kumar can be included in the 15 member squads in ODI team and if the conditions suit him, he can be played in the eleven

stupid...read the head properly...he did not question what strategy is ?He said he does not believe in making strategies...that is obvious no game is same and players keep improving their game..
AS many people claim he is lucky,
I just want to put this simple sentence..
When you succeed and make it to the top, there will be friends and of course the top position will have its own enemies.
Best Part of him..he has never angrilily reacted..
Even after winning the clt cup , he never showed his emotions..He infact he showed emotions when , there some persons whom he will be missing in the csk team..Character of a good heart.learn to appreciate..it is easy to criticise.

He has a mind in keeping his friend bhajji's place intact in the team. He fights tooth and nail for that. And the result, bowlers like ashwin has to bring pepsi's and cola's to the ground when somebody like bhajji playing for india on the field. That is unimaginable, when we analyze the performance of bhajji, especially in ODI's

Who says Dhoni does not play strategic games. There was a player named Eknath Solker who sadly is no more but some body has seen him in the field, a look of him seemed that he is the most lethargic field who used to stand at hand shake place at forward short leg, but whenever the ball appeared in area, he was so tout that people would wonder how he could take the cath. The same is with Dhoni. He shows himself very easy but whenever in field he only thinks cricket and winning. That is strategy. Just criticizing any body does not give any result. I think he believes in Karamyoga and works on it. Rest god takes care
Regards to every body.

I may not be a fan of Dhoni, but i like his style. Only those critise him who have not succeded ever in life in anything. this is because they do not know how difficult it is to stay on top after being successful. And i am not speaking about ratings. He is a good guy and manages 10 other arrogant (atleast some of them) around him and is succeding to beat the best around the world more often than Ganguly, or other past captian.

dhoni has just went further due to his luck, if he was a true captain he could have won the srilanka, new zealand and india series coz there were not so good and not so bad players in the series for india. 20-20 won due to sri santh, rest all the series he won coz of players like tendulkar, sehwag, dravid and laxman, what happened when they were off field when in last series.
