if sachin doesnt know how to promote crickters then dhoni promoted craps like jadeja,rohit,yusuf.... but if u see ganguly he promoted sehwag,yuvi,bhajji,zaheer........ so by ur theory ganguly becomes the greatest captain
But I have to agree that he let the players to play their Natural game and he is backing every players despite they are crap and giving a extended run. Which is rare and unique in his captaincy.
This team have Many legends to inspire the youngsters when some one batting with Sachin if he is beaten he will have a word with the batsman if it is Sehwag or S Raina even for Dravid it may not a advice but he does speak something to inspire

Senthil,you must agree that because of Dhoni's batting in Semi final,CSK won the IPL3 and because of his batting and shrewed captaincy ,CSK won CLT20.
IPL is professional game and Dhoni is getting his team of choice and is able to deliver.
But in the case of Indian team,he is less fortunate due to favouritism in selection..he is not getting the best team.Ganguly had the best team under his possession which included Sachin,Dravid,Ganguly himself,Laxman,Kumble,Harbhajan,Zaheer,Sehwag,etc,etc.. Ganguly was intentionally not allowing Sehwag to succeed by hanging on to the opener's position.Further he did not allow Dhoni a position,favouring Parthiv Patel,Deep Dasgupta and Dinesh Karthik.Because of Ganguly,Hemang Badani,Robin Singh,Murali Karthik and Charanjeet Singh had to lose their careers.Even Gambhir performed fantastically in test under Dhoni.He never got the confidence to grow under Ganguly. So,I cannot accept that Ganguly was the best captain of India.I feel Dhoni is much matured,brave,balanced and shrewed captain. You may be a great player but not the best captain.That is proved by Sachin.Inspite of having the best players in his team,Mumbai Indian did not succeed.All other teams given chances to new comers to perform like Jaydev Unadkat,Murli Vijay,Ashwin,Naman Ojha,S Trivedi,etc.But Sachin just given one match each to D.Kulkarni and A.N.Ahmed and made them really frustrated and their careers are doomed.He does not know how to promote cricketers.

Abe 'Om' ko badnaam mat kar. You have arrived at your own conclusions. Ganguly fought for yuvraj, harbhajan, zaheer and sehwag. He is the one who gave Sehwag the chance to open. He is the one who built the team. He fought the system to make Indian cricket what it is today.

I don't know what kind of batting performance he produced in the Semi Final, CSK barely reached 140 odd runs against DC, which they won becoz of the Douggy Aggressive Bowling and Ashwin's Economical Bowling. S Raina played a better part with Bat in IPL 3 then Dhoni. Dhoni done his job as a wicket keeper and Captain not to try out of Box and His team grown in confidence to win. The only thing he done well is The 2 Sixes against the Non bowler I Pathan. I said that time, I wish he could do it for India but in a similar situation he failed in the World T20.

He can be the best captain,if India can win the world cup next year under him ! And after that in appropriate time if he hangs his shoes and not hang in like Ganguly to be kicked out some day...

u r rite bro he gave lot of freedom to the players even which ganguly didnt give......so blaming dhoni is not good
