Tournaments rather events like IPL and CT-20 are basically for entertainment that is to enjoy artistic and skillful batting and bowling. In such events WIN or LOSS are of little importance.
Only ICC tournaments like ODI or T-20 world cups, win or loss becomes important. And so is the case when when national team play test or one day series.
Remember, like any other person, a player has every right to earn money for his living through his profession--whether he is employed in a public or private sectors is of no importance.
