its not that Bushrangers and Redbacks dont use services of 'mercenaries'. Ross Taylor and Dwayne Bravo play for Bushrangers whereas Afridi and Pollard play for Redbacks. Its just that when there's a conflict of interest mercenaries would take the side of the highest payer

you are right in saying what you have said. its better the owners of the teams stay away from the dug out. they just want media publicity and want to show who is the boss, which is just unnecessary.
Its a pity that even a club cricket is getting so much coverage but Sushil Kumar who won a gold medal in the world wrestling championships in Russia yesterday is completely ignored. Well why to have CWG if no one is interested in other sports. Rediff is always bad in reporting such things. they are more interested in the comment by Raj Thackrey, then to laude a guy who has done such great work to brought glory to the nation.

You should take into considerations how many spectators each of the sport receives. Media goes by the amount of public response something gets. I would consider an olympic gold medal more valuable than the world championships gold medal. I'm sure sushil will be able to repeat his achievements in the olympics also.
There is no need to be so happy for the win Mr Kumble. You have such dynamic cricketers chosen from all over the World and Guyanese were all local Cricketers. Except Sarvan there were no players of any international experience. It is also so foolish that in spite of retiring from cricket you are still playing for money that too in 20-20 format which does not suit you at all. Except bowling 4 overs in pieces you can not contribute in any other field like batting and fielding. Giving bowling to Akhil when a better alrounder Cameron White was in the team is ridiculous. All those retired from cricket such as Gilchrist, Heyden, Murli, Kumble, Ganguly etc should not be allowed to play in IPL. With the team they have, if they fail to win the trophy it is a shame.

Mind your words mister. Kumble is a legend! He is playing for RC, and he earns. So does other ex-cricketers. Why don't you scrap about the current Indian team?

"Giving bowling to Akhil when a better alrounder Cameron White was in the team is ridiculous" - ROFL !!!!
FYI, Cameron White no longer bowls regularly for Australia or Victoria Bushrangers. Also look at his international bowling records - 12 wickets in 66 ODIs and 1 wicket in 22 T20s. In fact, Cameron White's reluctance to bowl is the sole reason why somebody like Steven Smith made his test debut for Australia as an "all rounder". Just FYI, in 3 IPLS combined, Cameron White has bowled a 'mammoth' 2 overs in total, giving away 'just' 43 runs at a 'miserly' economy rate of 21.5 !!!!

He is good T-20 player which he has proven by thrashing Asif, Lee, M.Johnson like world class in T-20 matches. He is out from T-20 side without any reason. Same for RP Singh. Both these guys never performed poor in T-20 format and dropped for no reason.

Simple. Just count the number of Pakistani players to get an idea. In this case, it was Zero.
