ya.Arvin I think its time now that you should wake up from your slumber and realize that it was a dream!
India was one of the best football team not just in asia but around the woeld in 50's....forget the cricket and bring the glory days for football again in our country
Now I understand that why Pakistan always loose matches (recently) against india in any big tournament (world cup etc.), although their(pakis) overall record is better than india, ofcourse it is due to betting they get money from match fixers, Indian bookies would pay any amount to see them losing as indian public (sic fans) would bet anything to win against pakis. Pakistan cricket and govt should punish the crooks, but i guess they won't as in pakistan top to bottom everyone is corrupt.

Bro. du u understand wat u r tryin. to prove... D way u r reaching conclusions - Indians should loose matches cause dere is more monetary value on Indian team... Indian bookies will make more money otherway..
But on the other day i saw pakistani media with a propaganda by using "Indian" in every match fixing coverage.. I think that its a high time for pakistani people to realize that if anything bad happens to pakistan then its not always Indians behind it.
No a days matches are fixed by cricket boards and boards members. i am sure this time also the trio will come out with minimum punishment. like evey pakistani is indulge in match fixing... but some how they comes out clean after every enquiry
Cricket is a game where an individual player is able to influence the course of the game, as it is a unique game where two individual players are competing against each other, and a player (the bowler) can put the whole team plan in jeopardy as he cannot be substituted out or taken out of the attack in the middle of an over. The game itself is full of loop holes and it can never be clean. No matter how much effort is being put in. Unless the players are like monks, the game would continue to witness these type of scandals. The ICC is not as strong and powerful as FIFA or the IOC, where guilty players are dealt with very severely.

Year 2000 was the chance to clean cricket when match fixing racket was unearthed. But only a few players like Cronje, Azharuddin and Jadeja were made scapegoats and big fishes got escaped with a cover up by a retired justice.
Cricket became dirtier, courtesy huge Indian consumer market and madness of Indian cricket fans who love to be fooled in cricket games. Those cricketers whom Indian cricket fans worship as Gods are the one who have made this game dirtier as they all are agents of corrupt companies in India.

Scapegoat? Cronje himself admitted. At least he had the guts. And he told that Azhar introduced him to a bookie which Azhar denied. Now we all can understand who is speaking the truth. I think it's anybody's guess who the big fish is from India's perspective. Upbringing decides whether one is going to be a patriot or a traitor!

I fully agree. Thats why Cronje was murdered, so that truth should never come out. Since over 80% money in International cricket comes from India, and everything is controlled from Mumbai, the dirt will never go.
Look Back at the history. Cricket was never clean. If we do not ignore Bodyline series of Eng-Aus Ashes, Cricket became dirty almost 80 years back.
In 70s West Indies pace quartet would injure opponent batsmen (there were no helmets and body pads then), so would do Dennis Lillie and Jeff Thomson. The ugly incident between Lillie and Miandad in late 70s took a new low in cricket and the story goes on.
In 70s and 80s, Gavaskar, Lloyed, Greg Chappel and Tony Greig pioneered dirty tricks in cricket world, and in commercial era Ravi Shashtri, Azharuddin, Gavaskar were the leaders in bringing dirtiest things in Indian cricket. Manoj Prabhakar, the whistle blower, got his throat cut by powerful people involved.
If Dravid is dreaming that cricket will ever be cleaned, this will remain a dream as money raining in the game will make it dirtier in the future. The cricket fans will continue to remain the fools on this earth.
