Dravid higher than Tendualkar overall, mainly because in every run that dravid scores,in every defensive blade that he offers there is a 100% intent of playing for the team,there is artistry and style....whereas Tendulkar plays on his own pace towards another useless ton, when on 90s takes another 4 hours to complete 100,surprisingly oppostion team goes more defensively instead of keeping 3 slips and using a quality fast bowler to kick him out of the crease.I HAVE NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT TENDULAKR IS MORE SELFISH THAN A TEAM MAN.

rajath may be right,if we remember 2000 sharjah when sachin blasted zimbbabwe when he reached 97 in only 56 balls but completed his century in 67 balls.

@ STG, hamm but then why didn't you remember the latest game when he completed the 100 in just 3 balls when he was on 93? He hit 2 sixes to get there! And..about he match you are talking..was there really any need to go after every ball? Target was 197 and India were 140 odd runs without any loss in just 22 overs or something. Mate, being a critics isn't a bad thing but criticism should be reasonable. According to you Dravid plays for India and Sachin not despite of his higher strike rate and avg than Dravid! Dravid strike rate is was below Sachin, around 75 and Sachin's is 87!

forget about Dravid and Tendulkar, think of you first. You are to small to comment on them, specially Tendulkar because he is mentor of Dravid.
The reason behind why India is number one team in test arena is becuase of Rahul Dravid and VVV laxman not becuase of Sachin or Sehwag...Check the records Guyz

Dravid used to be our no.1 test batsman until 2006-07 and now he is not best at all. Laxman appears to be more consistent than Dravid and raises his performance and delivers to the occasion at the moment. Sehwag's consistent and quick fire at the top gives plenty of time (Sehwag's way of playing reminds me of how Aussies used to play in the Langer, Hayden, Gilly, Warne, McGrath era) to our bowlers to take the opposition's 20 wickets. Sachin appears to pace his innings according to his own plans. I agree he becomes cautious when he gets close to a 50 or 100 but that is how his 50 to 100 conversion rate is better than any other player in the world. You can't just be better than the rest of the pack without doing things differently. Sachin wants exercises care to get to hundred rather than ruining it with a reckless shot.
All four are very important in the Indian team Sachin, Dravid, VVS and Sehwag. However, I feel like it's time for Dravid to go.
