Re: Re: Match is already started

He actually closing then opening, he was lucky twice in 2 overs not to get out. 7 runs after 2 overs not even ODI Standard
Re: Match is already started
by Sports Lover on Oct 31, 2010 03:19 PM
yes looks like that. Sri Lankans are bowling well till now. Australia are 11-0 in 2.3 overs.
Re: Re: Match is already started
by Senthil on Oct 31, 2010 03:22 PM
I remember Rediff not covered the first 2 T20 of Eng vs Pak then After some 7 overs they started to cover the First ODI
We never know what Rediff will do
What the heck Aussies open with M Clarke when they have S Watson and playing a test match out there?
Revealed this line - After whitewashing the Aussies, India stands unbeaten in 9 consecutive Test Series. Now the challenge before us is to make it a perfect 10 by stamping our authority over the Kiwis. Can the Test Crickets No.1 teams seeks to realize its Biggest Ambition?
Re: Google Search
by Senthil on Oct 31, 2010 03:09 PM
Unbeaten in 9 Test Series, Yes. After losing against Lanka in Aug 2008.
1. Won 2-0 Against Aussies 2. Won 1-0 Against England 3. Won 1-0 Against NewZeland 4. Won 2-0 Against Sri Lanka 5. Won 2-0 Against Bangladesh 6. Drawn 1-1 Against South Africa 7. Drawn 1-1 Against Sri Lanka 8. Won 2-0 Against Australia
But where I missed the 9th Test Series which we are unbeaten?
Re: Re: Google Search
by makdi man on Oct 31, 2010 03:14 PM
oh no, if that Lanka series loss was not there. We had 5 consecutive Test series winning streak going before that. And I am sure the 9th one you will find soon.
Re: Re: Re: Google Search
by Senthil on Oct 31, 2010 03:19 PM
Before Lanka series loss we had not had any great series. We drawn the series against SA in 2008 March then We Lost to the Umpires in Aussies in 2008 then We won a Test Series in Eng in 2007.
In fact we had a worst 2008 Year till we beat the Aussies during the year end. It will seriously affect our ranking during Aug 2011 when 2007 year removed from the ranking.
But I can't really scratch now to find the 9th Series, Bad memory and No idea to google it also.
Re: Re: Google Search
by makdi man on Oct 31, 2010 03:05 PM
Eng and Aus hold the record for 9 consecutive test series wins. They must have both lost the series before and after that record. So staying unbeaten in 10 consecutive series must also be some kind of record. I hope someone understand what i mean to say.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Google Search
by makdi man on Oct 31, 2010 03:10 PM
This Eng and Aus mates are so kind. Even after having achieved such a great and envious record they have left something for us to achieve. ;-)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Google Search

Don't the Mighty WI not won 11 test Series? surprise, Unbeaten would be more by Aussies, But Staying unbeaten for 10 Test series is no mean less achievement
Re: Hi everyone
by Senthil on Oct 31, 2010 02:52 PM
10 consecutive test Series? That would be Astonishing. I think even Steve Waugh team is not achieved that. Need to Check. But at present that stands next to impossible with all other teams are improved very much then earlier days where only one team dominated
Re: Re: Hi everyone
by makdi man on Oct 31, 2010 02:54 PM
Yeah it is a world record, they say. I read it in TOI Neo Sports Advtg, i think. The line had a bid asterix but there was no further reference. LOL
Re: Re: Re: Re: Hi everyone
by Senthil on Oct 31, 2010 02:59 PM
lol, They say Drawn series also included, When we last time lost a series? Against Lanka in Lanka in 2008, after that we won a Series against Aussies then a Series against England both at Home then a Series win in NZ then a Home series win against Lanka then a Away series win against BD then a Home Series win against Aussies, so it's 4 series win and we draw 2 series in between against SA and lanka
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Hi everyone
by Senthil on Oct 31, 2010 03:05 PM
Come on man, I was clearly Starting From where we lost a Series, it was in 2008 Aug, in Lanka against Lanka but the series you were saying was held in 2008 March. Correct me If I m wrong, I m counting After we Lost a TEST Series last time.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Hi everyone
by makdi man on Oct 31, 2010 03:02 PM
Yeah, most consecutive test series wins record is held jointly by Aus and Eng 9 each. India has attained just 5 consecutive in 2008-2009.

nopp..Against SA in I think 2008 We lost 1st match under Kumble and won 2nd under Dhoni (his 1st as a captain)
Re: Re: Re: Hi everyone
by Sports Lover on Oct 31, 2010 03:01 PM
I don't think. They had recently drawn a series against south africa as well as Sri Lanka. Prior to that they lost a test series in Sri Lnaka.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Hi everyone
by makdi man on Oct 31, 2010 03:03 PM
Ok it was just a gimmick by Neo. See my msg above it is unbeaten in 9 consecutive test series.
Re: Re: Re: So the Fun Starts

Will see, generally on Sunday Rediff won't work even in Saturday if No India match means they all sleep. I wish they will cover it
Re: Just win the series against NZ
by Sports Lover on Oct 31, 2010 02:33 PM
Unless India wins in South Africa and Australia they cannot really be called number 1.
Re: Re: Just win the series against NZ
by Senthil on Oct 31, 2010 02:54 PM
Still we can be No.1 but really we can't say exactly we are World Champions. The Fact is Steve Waugh's Team also never Won a test Series in India. So it's tough.
Re: Re: Re: Just win the series against NZ
by Sports Lover on Oct 31, 2010 02:57 PM
I think South Africa may the only team which has won in every country.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Just win the series against NZ
by Senthil on Oct 31, 2010 03:01 PM
Not really, even Aussies won against India in 2004 and SA never won a Series in Aussies until 2009. So even then after that period SA and Aussies never won a Series in India and SA not won a series in Lanka also, It's more and more complicated. If we took 10 yrs also no team in the world won against all other team after WI done in 1970
Re: Re: Just win the series against NZ
by makdi man on Oct 31, 2010 02:52 PM
It is OK if India stay at no.1 in contemporary teams. Your criteria is needed if we need to be called among the all time great no.1 teams.
Re: Re: Re: Just win the series against NZ
by Sports Lover on Oct 31, 2010 02:59 PM
Yes that is what I mean. India has never won a series in South Africa. Must correct that. And I am not even sure if they have won a test series in Australia
