Why can't they cover entire ground with plastic sheet? Is it not practical? Instead of spending money on super sopper machines cant they try this?

Change of Venue!!!!
by george thomas on Oct 22, 2010 09:03 PM  | Hide replies

BCCI should have a alternate venue in mind when they know that rain is pouring heavily in the current venues. They have 3 days gap between each match and with so many resources at hand it would be easy to shift the match to another venue.See what happened at Kochi,it started pouring from the day we finished the Test series with the Aussies, but officials kept hoping that the rain would stop, without looking for a PLAN B option. We dont get regular chances to watch Aussies play against the Indian team.

You are talking about BCCI, the "Brainless Cricket Control in India". They are oly interested in making the schedule crowded with more and more matches and make equally obsene money. They are not bothered about proper planning, alternate planning etc. Pathetic Guys.

Sorry Dear you are wrong to elaborate the BCCI, its Business Cricket Corruption in India.
Else you can think that how Non Player like Sharad Power, Ratnakar Shetty, Rajiv Shukla, Lalit Modi are on high post of a Cricket Board. Its all money which is attracting these Bees to Honey(Money). I don't anyone of these have ever played a single ball in school team too.

Washout???????
by agnelo fernandes on Oct 22, 2010 08:43 PM  | Hide replies

These are not just rain showers but tears of the Goan football lovers who were denied to watch their League football matches on this FOOTBALL stadium for the last 4 months due to a silly cricket game of 1 day. Can anyone imagine sacrificing another sport and sportmen's interest for the sake of 1 game, that too which is not at all popular in Goa, just to fill the pockets of the administrators.

It never RAINS in Goa at this time, so even the rain gods are angry for denying Goans the pleasure of enjoying their football

Agree with the frustrations but the board needs money also for development of not only cricket but for development of any sport. But I agree that cricket may not be that popular so why do the cricket administrators in Goa need money for that?
