You also need to see the situation in which these double hundreds were scored. We almost won the sydney test but for Steve Waugh's innings. The Sri Lanka knock was a test saving one if not series saving. And even this test if he hadnt played this knock india wud be in trouble. He is the ultimate team man. Plays for the team...........

I have defended each and every player except maybe a few in the current crop. Sachin, Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly are legends. There is a talk that Sachin is not a match winner. The best example is this test what if sachin had got out on 5. The match would have been over by now. Atleast we have a chance of winning the test now. I think everyone criticizing any of the players should think of their contribution to the overall team cause.

sachin is being penalized or criticised only regarding what he has done or not done. other players dont enter the picture except for being penalized for performing outstandingly and their credit being given to sachin.
as far as i can see it is not sachin who is penalized for failure of the indian cricket team.
indeed in reality it is the other way round.
over hyped over credited sachin's failures result in the indian cricket team being penalized.
and all this because of the big fraud/big lie/big myth that sachin ''single-handedly'' wins matches for india ''with no contribution from other 10 players''

People say....If Sehwag fails its because thats his way of playing..he score at times or doesnt..... Same with Yuvraj, Laxman hasnt got due credit for the various innings that he has played but people are quick to criticize him for his failures, and same for Dravid but noone realizes that none of the current crop of players have the technique to play either the short ball or the seaming balls. I hope Pujara proves me wrong.

he doesn't play ODIs these days anyway.. will he play WORLD CUP? I DON'T THINK SO coz he will take rest to prolong his test career & will skip WORLD CUP & then retire from ODIs after WORLD CUP without playing a single ODI since february 24 2010 to april 2011, 1 year 1 month which is also again a world record will be held by sachin(dubicious distiction this time around this will be) .. he can't score 2000 runs in test this year coz only 8 to 9 innings he will have in this year in test (5 tests).. so in 8-9 innings 783 runs is too much asking from him, definately but he can surpass 1600 test runs in this year around 400 more runs in 8 to 9 innings if not more but 1788 of mohammad yousuf in 2006 may not be overtaken by him coz then again he has to score more than 550 runs in 9 innings max .. we will not mind him getting 1600-1635 runs in 2010 which is amaging astonishing at 37.. and should surely make more than 15000 test runs with more than 50 100s (may be 52 -53).. 200 target for india around 60 in lunch with 9 wickets less than 150 to get.. oops for INDIA once ball will start reverse swinging.. all the best& complete young inexperience guns are playing against AUS in ODIs.. will lose the series 1-2(getting feared might not get blackwash 0-3)!!!! no sachin no sehwag no gambhir no zahir no bhajji.. oops long list of no..

Aus is not the best team now! Sachin double tons are only in drawn matches. The only one where we won was against a lowly Bangaldesh (not to mention that Sachin was gifted that double hundred by our neighbours - dropped 5 times incl on zero!). Dravid or VVS score in wins and in tougher conditions. Not Sach. That's the Sach. He has loads of talent but lacks temperament in big games and when it matters most. Always good in scoring while setting targets. But when it comes to chasing he will not be able to carry it through. There may be a few exceptions - in a 21 yr career (171 tests and 440 ODIs ) bound to be there.

i cant accept ur statment..becz im watching cricket for the past 15 years. no one will be like that hereafter such a perfect gentleman childish face he never harms anyone in the field, team needs his suggestions even if he doesnt play very well. he has given lots of confidence and suggestions to youngsters..in that way the team goes on. so im quite happy he is in our team even if he doesnt play well. and youngsters doesnt have much potential like sachin.

HELLO AUSSIe is not a good team now???? what a childish talk! then if india doesnt play well then i can i say that" oh india doesnt have good players so thats y india doesnt win the match"". so think positively that india has good players now a days and everything goes well for indian team..
i dont know why its like that....still he will play only for few years.. we are all much awaiting to see his adventures..but why he is dropped from one day games now a days(already dropped completely from T20)..dropped senior players like sachin zaheer and sehwag for some silly reason is not good for indian team..youngsters r good but they dont have consistecny..

for example sureshkumar, lets consider youngsters like raina, murali vijay, kohli to name a few. all are such fantastic players but because of senior players they cannot get to play in the team. that does not mean that they are bad. whatever few opportunities they got they have performed outstandingly. take raina for example he has an outstanding record in tests, odi and T20. in all 3 formats his performance is better than sachin at a comparative stage. in tests so far he is far ahead as compared to sachin when he played the same no. of tests and raina. in odis too raina comes down the order the way sachin used to come at the beginning of his career. and raina has accomplished far more than sachin. he has even 100s down the order. sachin scored his first 100 when he came as opener. as a lower order batsman sachin did not score a SINGLE odi 100. raina has won 3 consecutive MOM at such a lower position in odi. sachin could never do it. take murali vijay even his test record is better than sachin at the same juncture of his career. before this test murali vijay had played 7 tests 10 innings 333 runs 87 hst. 0 100s and 2 50s. at same point sachin stats were 7 tests 10 innings 332 runs 88 hst. 0 100s 3 50s. take kohli. he has so far played with 40 plus average in odi. he is the fastest 1000 runs scorer in odi, better than sachin.
inspite of all this you want to say youngsters are not good or consistent? get the blinkers off your eyes as fast as you can and start to appreciate.

my dear frnd you are write that sachin did not scored hundred when he was playing in lower position but can you compare the than situation like pace of the game at that time,picthes provided that time,qualitity of pace and spin bowling in that eara and also mentality of players,overs get to play ,strategy of teams and many other things can u compare with the current scenario .does raina has ever been tested againts a quality fast bowling on a lively bouncy pitch ..so there is no comparision.. i think so what u say..

he better rest himself for WC then! He should now be playing with 4 months to go for WC. India should play as a unit. All batting lineups will be changed once the man returns. He does not relaize that. He will play CL T20 though! and ask for rest in ODIs.

Dr.Ambedkar deserved Bharat Ratna because of two reasons. One, he brought together the Dalits and gave them new confidence and status in society. Two, he didn't embrace Islam. Otherwise Hindus would have gone in minority in Hindustan. And Cricketers should never get Bharat Ratna because they get Crores of rupees in return of their services to Cricket.

totally agree...there are very few ethical sportsmen. Very few cricketers who think of team rather than self. Sach is in the latter majority. VVS said "Pay me 350 K and use the remaining sum to buy good intl stars." Will SRT ever do that? U must be dreaming. He's humble. Doesn't mean he's God.
