while I agree with you. U will also agree that Kapil or Arvind could not repeat that afterwards.
Sachin is scoring runs on and on agaisnt any bowling on any wicket. That is the different between good batsmen (like kapil or arvimd) and GREAT BATSMEN

hey "cpa chd"...nice points, but probably u forgot Sachin's runs when he single handedly took India in 1996 WC to semis (he scored in every match), but that unfortunate thing happened in Kolkata!
In 2003 WC, again Sachin single handedly took the entire Indian cricket team to the finals (he played smashing innings in every match again)!!!

So, at one point he shud be supported by atleast one player...in the whole team...but!!!

If ur memory is that weak, I would also like to remind you about the last years 175 runs batting second against Australia in Hyderabad (I guess)...they scored 350 runs and Sachin was the sole person once again...so, how many examples should he provide?
Well, he is not playing for your or my satisfaction, but for Indian cricket team...and he already and continuing to contribute a lot to Indian and also International Cricket...

U can't compare different batsman by their records. It also not true that sachin has not recovered India from such situations. Kapil/ Arvinda knocks are memorabale becoz came on bog occasions and sachin has not been lucky enoughs. for him damons like Steve bucknors were there..

have u forgoten 1.98 vs pak 2003 WC, 2.175 vs aus 2009 (he single handedly changed the color of the game, yet others couldnt capitalise), 3.200 vs SA (who else has done that?), 4.104 vs Eng (i guess) in 4th inning which won the match, 5.143&134 vs aus 1998, 6.141 & 4wickets vs aus in dhaka 1998, 7.186 vs NZ in hyd 1999/2000, 8.134 vs pak at chennai in 4th inning (yet india couldnt win coz of our fampous tail.) how many do you need?? Kapil/Arvinda was good but no match to a Tendulkar. dont forget with his runs the population of India & its expectation from Tendulkar has also increased. more importantly, he has handled that superlatively. that's why HE IS THE GOD..

you speak as if he scored those runs to deposit in his bank, probably outside india in a non cricket playing nation. maybe, switzerland?!?!? forget all this, diabetics (diabetese patients) like you should not taste the rich, ripe, tasty & extremly sweet fruits, such as, Tenduulkar's great perfomances. better be happy with batting brilliance of venkatesh prasad or the ones like him. ENJOY..

I have a doubt; does this century mean that Vijay will play for India regularly? And if he does, who will he replace?
